I've acquired the Takara Tomy Stygimoloch that comes with the phone holder base.  I think it's the nicest Jurassic World Stygimoloch, and I'm pleased in person it doesn't look as wrinkly as in photos.  I'm going to compare it with the Eikoh and newest Mattel mini Stygimoloch, but I'm confident the Tomy is the one I'll keep in my collection.

I recently found out the pleasant news that action is being taken to create a neotype for Kronosaurus.  It looks unlikely that I can still use the PNSO Kronosaurus to represent the Toolebuc pliosaurid (Kronosaurus holotype and possibly conspecific material) as possibly separate from Eiectus, and it looks like Eiectus has its days numbered as Kronosaurus is resurrected as the correct name for its remains.  Additionally, the possibility that all Toolebuc pliosaurid remains represent one species is considered possible again, with Kronosaurus being the correct name for them.  So, since the PNSO Kronosaurus is inaccurate to remains that will probably be Kronosaurus again, I reconsidered the options for this animal and was drawn to the Wild Safari Kronosaurus which is extremely accurate.  I purchased it and got it today.  I knew it was big, but it was still bigger than I expected!  I feel confident it is the most accurate pliosauroid figure ever made, surpassing even the previous holder of this position, the Invicta Liopleurodon.  avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum I appreciate you contributing to the Wild Safari Kronosaurus being so good!  I love it, and I was reluctant to let go of the PNSO Kronosaurus originally but I have no problem doing it now that I have the Safari figure!

A new arrival, the rather slighted Papo Einiosaurus. I've equivocated about buying this ever since its first reveal, but finally put in an order to Dejankins, as it wasn't too pricey. Sort of a chunky fellow, with more of a feel of heftiness about it than I'd expected.

A criticism was that the head has been sculpted too small; not quite microcephalic, but disproportionate. Comparing it to Doug Watson's Safari figure, it can be seen that the skull is slightly smaller, but the body is longer than with the Safari and rather more massive, which makes the head appear smaller than it would if the body were closer to the dimensions of the Safari. But not grossly so.

All five digits on the hands are hooved, by now  an error that is surprising.

Taking one thing with another, an okay figure with some good aspects and some less so. But certainly better than their bizarre Protoceratops.

Man, I've really been slacking on sharing my acquisitions as of late, so here's a smattering of long awaited pre-orders, holiday sale pickups, gifts, museum gift shop finds, and random eBay purchases.

First up, my BotM Allosaurus and Dilophosaurus arrived a few months back. David continues to impress with improved range of motion and I love the new display stands!

Took advantage of the Aliexpress holiday sale to catch up on some HLG figures, and wouldn't you know it, I'm already far behind again  :P

For the record, the Trike is well worth the hype!

Also picked up Nanmu's Smart Series Carnos during the sale. Pretty good figures, though I'm still not as enthused about this line as I was with their statues.

And finally for the Aliexpress sale, I picked up the long overdue PNSO Shantungosaurus. Thought this figure was long gone but they must have found a stack of them in a corner in some warehouse because suddenly they were available to buy again at retail cost.

This one's a bit of a let down, especially in the paint department but I'm still glad to finally have a copy after all of these years.

Speaking of PNSO, the Lokiceratops was a gift, and it's quite the looker!

Traveled to a few museums over the past couple of months and picked up some Safari goodies in the giftshops! Always nice to find these figures in the wild. Supporting museums is a great excuse to pick up some new or old figures! On an interesting side note, I saw PNSO figures stocked in one gift shop. Kind of a crazy experience seeing those in the wild, and at list price no less!

But speaking of old Safari figures...

Came across a dirt cheap Ambelodon on eBay. Totally forgot Safari made this figure but wow, is it ever peak work on their part!

Then perhaps least interesting are some new JW pickups. The Hammond Collection is really the only line I'm focused on with Mattel at this point but I can be swayed with some year end clearance sales.

And speaking of the Hammond Collection, the Scutosaurus actually showed up the other day. I'm hoping this isn't another Pyroraptor type of release but at least I got around to this one this time.

And finally, forgot I had this bad boy from REBOR on pre-order until I got the email that my order had been processed. Glad I didn't cancel it though because they definitely came to play with this sculpt!

Sorry for the long post, I'll try to be better about sharing my acquisitions in a more timely manner going forward but hopefully there's at least a figure for everyone to appreciate mixed in here somewhere!

And I know that I just apologized for the long post back there but I think these deserve their own spotlight.

I got into collecting way too late to even entertain the idea of owning a Sideshow Dinosauria statue, and seeing as they rarely if ever show up on the second hand market for a decent price, it was only ever a distant dream of mine to get my hands on any of them. That's why when these popped up on eBay for a cost I could swallow, I let nothing stand in my way. They didn't come with their original boxes, are far from in pristine condition (in fact, I had to repair the Apato's tail), and are even incomplete in the case of the Mosasaur, but I still am in awe of the fact that they're mine!

Dino Dream Therizinosaurus came today, great figure!

That mosasaurus statue...
I'd love to have it, I really like this monitor lizard head look.

It's a stunner of a statue to be sure! Can't decide if I admire it or the Apatosaurus more to be honest

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking Congrats, especially on that majestic Apatosaurus. We have yet to see a PVC Apatosaurus figure of the caliber of Sideshow's.

SidB

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking , I just have to say,"congratulations and well done for your persistence."

The new Safari Megalosaurus:

With the PNSO Megalosaurus, for comparison purposes:

The Safari is quite well detailed at its very affordable price-point. Safari always represents excellent value for the money. Of course the PNSO is even more detailed, but at a higher price-point.

avatar_Roselaar @Roselaar Awesome haul! Very nice that you have been able to get the Baby T-Rex and Pachycephalosaurus Epic Attack Pack. It's very rare. Just curious, where did you get it?

Thank you! I got that set from a fellow collector in Brazil, apparently it is (or was) regularly available there. I think it's about the only place in the world where it was... The Chaos Theory Kenji Moto Pack seems to have suffered a similar fate, it's also impossible to find in most territories except Asia/Australia and, again, Brazil.

My Haolonggood Brachiosaurus is here.

Spoiler
I went for the orange version, and I'm glad I did – it looks a lot better than in the original promo picture, which must have been oversaturated. The paintwork on this one is amazing. I can see why people have been calling it the lasagna version though  :P

I knew this was gonna be a big figure, but I was still impressed at the size when I took it out of its (massive) box. I think this is the largest plastic dinosaur model I've ever owned. Seeing pictures of it next to the Argentinosaurus, and realising how much bigger that one is, makes me glad that I skipped it if only for space reasons.

I concur with other people's criticisms of the head – I don't like the exposed teeth or the deep groove that marks out the beak. The head is such a small area on such a large figure, though, that it doesn't bother me too much. At normal viewing distance it's hardly noticeable.

My copy came with the orange Huayangosaurus. I might sell or trade this at some point , but for now I'll keep it as it's not taking up too much space.

I also took the opportunity to pick up the other large sauropod figures I've been meaning to get: the HLG Mamenchisaurus and PNSO Camarasaurus.

Spoiler
The Mamenchisaurus is longer but much more slender – the Camarasaurus is massive compared to it.

I'm not disappointed with the Camarasaurus, but I feel it's not quite up to the standard of the very best PNSO figures in terms of paintwork. It has a dark wash underneath, but it could have used a light grey wash on the top side to bring out the scale detail more. Then again, it's not a museum line figure, and it's still very good all things considered.

Here they are all together:

I think that with the Brachiosaurus, Haolonggood has almost reached the pinnacle in terms of sauropod figures. The only major issues are with the head, and some rather obvious seam lines around the underside, but fortunately these aren't noticeable from a normal viewing distance.
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

Fully agree that this Brachiosaurus is probably one of if not the best Haolonggood sauropod so far. The seam lines that you mention are probably some sort of molding lines or molding marks. I think they are to some extent unavoidable for any figure manufactured by injection molding of PVC.

SenSx

Thanks for the great pictures, I might pick the red Brachiosaurus as well.
