Not a fan. Hope to see more pics of that Arsinoitherium though.

suspsy

I'll have to see more images, but I've been dying for a new Megatherium for a very long time now.

Nehalennia

I dig. Quite an original, active pose. The tongue is a potentially defining feature of this animal, makes sense they featured it so prominently. The figure also seems to have some appropriate bulk to it.

Elengassen

Okay, but why isn't it on its hind legs in a tree-hugging posture?

(jk  :P )
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

Berno

It looks good, definitely need to see more photos.
I like the pose, it's nice to see a Megatherium model that's not in the typical "standing and trying to reach a high branch" pose.

Is it just me or is the image not working anymore?

It's defiant, I'd say - sticking its tongue out at anyone who doesn't like it?

Seriously, it's high time for a Megatherium. I wonder what's the scale?

Anyone know the best place to buy TNG figures? I only have the smilodon but I can't remember where I purchased it

Weird. Working for me on mobile (android) firefox, but not on my laptop (also firefox). Might be due to the various settings or addons I use there. If it's an image from facebook it might be why as I have the FB container installed to block its cross site tracking, along with privacy badger (though I don't know if it is truly needed with Firefox's tracker and cookie protections).

That should be the problem, it is an image from facebook.

I'm glad for those who like it, but I still can't look past the errornous manus anatomy as pointed out when the prototype pictures were revealed. With the new picture it's clear by now that it has 5 clawed digits which is incorrect, among other things. I don't see this as a good representation of Megatherium proper, though perhaps as a generic ground sloth.

Entirely based on personal taste, but I hope the next Megatherium (or any ground sloth for that matter) will not have its tongue sticking out. I find it as overdone a trope as the tree hugging pose.

I can't see facebook images on Firefox. If I'm lucky, if I "quote" the post I can get the URL, but usually get the timed-out message.

AliExpress has them.
And Amazon of course

I think that if I simply accepted the treatment of the digits on so many released figures, that it would be a real source of frustration as regards not getting genera that I'd like. Instead, I've adopted the approach of making the purchase, then getting the errant digits removed or modified by my local paleo-artist friend. It's an additional expense, but for me, totally worth it. Perhaps this Megatherium will join my list for surgical alteration.

I'd love to do the same, but I generally only reserve customisation jobs for figures/species that are really special to me. The added expense on comissions adds up afterall, and I'd much rather allocate those funds to figures that don't need to be fixed in the first place.

You're quite right, avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy , it would normally be a substantial expense. No doubt about it, I'm in an unique position of being able to get commissions done locally (no burdensome shipping costs) as well as getting said commissions done at a very reasonable cost (to say the least) by a friend.

A few pics of the Megatherium, posted by Paleofiguras. It's said it'll be up for sale in a couple of days.
