Also includes new versions of the Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant mini figures, based on their dig site outfits in Jurassic Park.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Don't know what I should think about it.
Cool? Yes! But I think I would skip it.

This set has a tiny Aquilops mold, which I think I prefer to Mattel's giant action figure.

But the fact that Aquilops is appearing in both lines suggests there will be plenty of choices. I think a Captivz version would suit my needs best.

Slightly disappointed that the lego mold doesn't have the rostral horn but since the mattel one does I can at least rest easy knowing it's probably there in the movie's design.

I'm hoping Mattel has a mainline scale one too. Captivz would also be nice.

I had very much hoped for the Spinosaurus to be in a smaller set... because this one will be more expensive than I am willing to pay for it, given I don't want anything but that figure.

Yeah, further supporting that is the fact that the brick-built version includes it. The one-piece mold is pretty small, which I imagine is why they left it out.

Has anyone picked up the Triceratops Skull that launched this January? It looks pretty good, though I'm curious about the thoughts of more discerning eyes.

I wonder if they're gonna release a full skeleton for it down the line too, like how the T. rex Skull was built up into a full rex.

The way I see it, this is Lego, and that's going to limit its fidelity to actual fossils. As a stylized representation, I think it looks pretty damn good. I build with Lego a lot, and I don't see anything obvious I'd change here.

I obviously can't speak to their plans, but the more they sell of this one, the more likely it seems they'd make a full skeleton.
