The currently most active ones, ie PNSO, Haolonggood, BotM (etc...) for instance ?^^

Even though PNSO seems to be most in need imo, i'd say Haolonggood because they seem to be in contact most.

Sim

Thanks for your thoughts guys!  I don't think Eofauna would be interested in seeing this type of poll, they have the questionnaire on their website where they ask for what one would like (including dinosaurs)..  Plus, they aren't very active in releasing new figures.

Betting time:

Do you think PNSO will have released a Dilophosaurus, a dromaeosaurid or a long-necked plesiosaur by the end of this year?

My prediction:

Spoiler
No, they won't (if they do, glad to be proven wrong).

I think a long necked plesiosaur is indeed possible, especially a bulky one like Aristonectes.

I don't think we will see Dilophosaurus or any dromaeosaurs. PNSO clearly desires to keep their products in scale and those animals are simply too small.

But we shall see.

PNSO did Nanotyrannus which is smaller than Dilophosaurus or any small Haolonggood theropod yet.

I'm hoping for a few more ceratopsians (ideally the basal ones!) before we return to theropods...

Or better yet we'll get a Paleozoic treat or two!

Honestly I have come to accept that PNSO just does their thing. They will release the species they consider worth of making a figure of and they seem not be much affected by what the collector community requests or not. They are a bit like the wind and sun. You cannot really predict much except a few general things like we will be certainly getting an updated T. rex at some point. Like we know that in summer (in the northern hemiosphere) it will be warm and the sun will shine and in autumn there will be wind.

In one respect at least, it's not a bad thing - it's nice expecting the unexpected.

I think that toy was more of a one time thing, bolstered in no small part due to being part of the royal family. For certain we haven't gotten any further PNSO toys that were the same size.

Nearly 9 years now, and they've made two Paleozoic animals. I'd love to see more.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

My hope for PNSO ceratopsians to stick with 1:35 with their remaining ceratopsians. Especially when Haolonggood makes around 1:35 , PNSO looks even larger. They are usuall around 1:25-1:30 scale.

There's certainly a precedence for PNSO to have followed, namely Safari - Doug Watson sculpted most of his terrific ceratopsians on or around a 1/25 scale.

Well PNSO did release a Pachycephalosaurus which is around the same size even prior to the Nanotyrannus.

Also shouldn't a Dilophosaurus figure be more in the same size class as their Megalosaurus?
But today, I'm just being father

Concavenator

Which sauropod do you see PNSO releasing this year? Stats show they release 1 new sauropod figure per year. So... which one are you expecting for this year?

I'm gonna go ahead and bet for an updated Amargasaurus. If they were smart they wouldn't release super big species like Alamosaurus anymore because they're mostly gonna get outshined by HLG's 1:35 versions. They've proven they can release species as big as Lingwulong and Camarasaurus in 1:35 scale, so sauropods like Amargasaurus or Shunosaurus should be feasible in 1:35 scale too.

Quote from: SRF on April 13, 2025, 07:05:07 AMAlso shouldn't a Dilophosaurus figure be more in the same size class as their Megalosaurus?

A Dilophosaurus would have a similar size to their Pachycephalosaurus, Nanotyrannus and Megalosaurus indeed. Size-wise I believe it is possible, though I'm puzzled as to why they haven't released one by now.

Trenchcoated Rebbachisaur

Hoping for a Shunosaurus; it's a delightful weirdo and PNSO would do it justice. I would expect one from HLG sooner or later, but that preview pic someone shared didn't have it, so it would stand uncontested for at least the rest of the year.

Other sauropods I could see and would welcome are Bajadasaurus (because PNSO), Brachytrachelopan, Nigersaurus, Rebbachisaurus (lol), Dicraeosaurus, Melanorosaurus, Cetiosaurus or Saltasaurus, by order of "feels right"-lyhood. Another island dwarf to pair with the seemingly upcoming HLG one would be neat, and I guess they could always pull a PNSO and go with something obscure and seemingly random.

But also, PNSO is consistently averse to pattern, so who knows, maybe we'll either get no Sauropod all year, a flood of them akin to the Theropodocalypse, or their own take on Brachiosaurus/A giant 1:35 Titanosaur this year.

Carnoking

Give me Brachytrachelopan!

Turkeysaurus

I'm glad Brachytrachelopan is a fan favorite here.

JohannesB

I would love to see the other end of the neck spectrum. An Omeisaurus 😄

Trenchcoated Rebbachisaur

Omeisaurus would be pretty neat but I feel like it might be a tad too "Diet Mamenchisaurus" for any of the big three to do it anytime soon  :*D
