I just checked their site and the prices are the same. Almost sounds too good to be true... So glad

That's good to see. I just hope they can continue to deal with it without it becoming too much for them. Same with Creative Beast Studio.

Not so good news though. PNSO's official store on Aliexpress has spiked prices up, probably in response to the tariffs. The Suchomimus was routinely $38.99, but is now going for like $70 there. Meraxes that went for $42.99 is now going for over $77 on Aliexpress. Cameron T. rex went for $74.99 now going for over $154 now over there. I dread to imagine what the $70+ Alamosaurus goes for now.

Their amazon store isn't impacted...yet. If this is the state of things to come this bodes terrible for collecting and especially new collectors, rather you are well off enough, or able to get one once in a while.

If it weren't for the fact I'm planning to resume saving for more Creative Beast Studio figures (before some are gone for good), and the new JW stuff, I would be panic buying PNSO right now. I'm horribly behind many of them that I want as it is.

At this point I'm waiting to see the JW Rebirth figure MSRP prices in the states to gaugue the situation as a whole. The PNSO price hikes don't bode well for calm seas to say the least but I'm curious to see the wider impact on larger companies and just how much they think they can charge.

I don't know if it's been brought up but I worry that with the prices increasing they aren't going to drop if the tariffs are removed. If a company realizes they can charge a higher price for an item and people buy it then they won't bring down the price when conditions level. Who knows, this is going to be a rough hobby for the time being at least.

I just ordered the new HLG Saurolophus & the Vitae Jinyunpelta from Lanatime shop. Prices didn't go up and I only had to pay $3 shipping. Not sure how they are keeping their prices the same but I'll see what happens I guess.

Let us know how it goes! Thanks for being our guinea pig :)

I ordered the new HLG Rex and Saurolphus as well.  Same 3.00 for ship.

Lana does sell PNSO and Creative Beast figures as well just an FYI.

It's good news to see that some companies are able to adjust to the tariff situation.  Perhaps by now shipping their product from within the US and just having to pay tariffs when they bring the product into the US themselves at wholesale prices?

For companies still shipping outside the US there is no guarantee that raising their prices means tariffs are covered.  That may be the purpose of the price increases but when the package gets to the US and goes through US Customs it may get charged again.  This would be an error if the tariffs are being prepaid but it can easily happen, especially in the early days when workers are unsure of procedures.  It happened frequently when Europe started charging VAT on items purchased on Ebay.com.  Ebay charged the VAT when the buyer purchased and the buyers should not have been charged again when the package went through Customs in Europe but often were and ended  up with the buyer paying double.  It's much better now but still happens.  Not trying to be a negative Nelly, just giving a heads up.

Got an email from Happy Hen Toys about this. Here is the email I received:

"Already supply chains are being affected drastically by this Tariff War.

NOW is the TIME to BUY if you need to. Prices are going to continue to rise as supply dwindles.

At this time much of our stock is at Pre-Tariff Pricing.

Be prepared for the holidays as we foresee the toy industry taking a HUGE hit this season.

Nearly ALL of our Museum Quality Dinosaur models are DIRECTLY imported to the United States from China. These will be an issue stocking moving forward.

Papo & Mojo Fun brands have lost their US Distributor and currently do not have any plans for new stock being imported.

As the year progresses I expect availability and prices to worsen."

Just came here to post that Happy Hen email lol. That is a bit worrying for Papo and Mojo. I don't order from HHT too often because you need to purchase $150 for free shipping. I wonder if they will even bother carrying PNSO or HLG carrying forward

This part definitely gave me pause. Outside of Everything Dinosaur (who as I last recall is still considering suspending sales to the US?) I can't think of a retailer outside the US to buy from? If the likes of Happy Hen Toys, Amazon, and presumably other domestic retailers are unable to get stock, does that mean the end of Papo sales in the US? Would certainly be a shame given how promising their more recent figures look.

Of course, given their drawn out production timeline, all this could be addressed by the time those figures are actually available

MiniZoo carries them as well. Actually only just got Papo back in

This keeps getting worse and worse! It is times like this I wish the DTF allowed swearing... /joking

Ah man that stings especially for the as of yet unreleased Papo Suchomimus. At least there are retailers outside the US (that hopefully will continue to ship here).

I know Dam Toys distributes Papo. I work at a toy store in the US and we just made a Papo order through them.

Yesterday I got a parcel from Minizoo (no tariff but it was probably cleared by customs before 5/2). I asked my local mail delivery person what the process is I was to be required to pay a tariff? Do I get a bill and then when I pay it, the item is delivered? Do I get a delivery notification and then have to go to my local post office to pay and get it?

He said he had no idea and that they had not been trained on anything yet. Makes me wonder if the tariff process is before delivery attempt? Does anyone know? Preferably by someone who knows the process and not just conjecture.

UPS delivered my package at the door once and I had to pay the driver with a check.  I signed up for a free UPS account and they notified me that way afterwards. I also went ahead and signed up for USPS informed delivery which is also free. I believe they will notify you if possible before delivery.  I've not run into anyone who has dealt with it via USPS yet either though. My guess is they will want money before delivery. Collecting it afterwards is a long shot.

I have something coming from Japan, which usually comes USPS in the US. So I guess that will be my first test!

Yeah, having to go to the USPS post office would be a pain for me. First of all, they closed the downtown post office in Salt Lake City. My 'official' post office is now West Valley city, which is 14 miles away. I don't drive, so I'd probably Uber, which is OK I guess. But also, I work standard hours, which means I would have to leave work early. Uggh. I have no issue paying first even if it means a few days delay in delivery.
