Very interesting... I do wonder how long the material will last though. Soft bendy figures are prone to tearing and cracking. Certainly not as durable as hard PVC or resin.

At least where Halloween props are concerned Silicone is more expensive than latex for sure. I have seen small scaled figures made of it with a armature inside. I bought one  a Vampirella a few years ago. I posed her and put in a glass case, haven't touched her since for fear of seeing any cracks.  The instructions even said frequent handling and posing can cause issue and it should always be posed in it's neutral state.

I also collect 1/6 figures and I have a Thanos with seamless rubber arms for almost 5 years. I let it in museum pose and until now, everything is perfect, no cracks at all!

I guess it depends how much we trust DD to not use substandard materials while charging us 300.00 ? To be sure if it's starts deteriorating in a year or so like the Titanoboa we won't be getting refunds.

I'd consider a Titanosaurus from them, since it's such a fragmentary genus that other companies are unlikely to make it. The silicone cracking would eventually reduce the tail to a realistic length!

Or it could fall off completely lol

Me too! Titanosaurus could only be made in silicone and (maybe) pvc, resin would make that tail break apart

PVC would work, I do have some resin models with very thin tails it can be a bit flexible when thin enough.

They didn't mention, is it still the rubber/bendy material?

I asked them but received no reply.

Halichoeres

If they did a Titanosaurus in this style, I'd consider it.

So it seems the body is resin but the neck and tail are silicone...ugh.  I fear it could be another Rebor Titanoboa situation.

That's such a silly saying. "I don't want to buy this because it's bad (usually for quality reasons)" isn't activism, and companies will not know why you chose not to buy a thing unless you make sure to publicly complain about it (and sometimes not even then)

Ah, yes, the Titanoboa. Definitely a money-back guarantee - guaranteed NOT to give your money back!

I kept my titanoboa in its box for years after I got it. Every now and then I'd get a bug in my brain to open the box and check and make sure the rubber wasn't decaying while still it's plastic wrap. After a while of this, I got tired of the anxiety it was giving me and just sold it off. On the plus side, it was still in good shape!

Blade-of-the-Moon

I did the same with my titanoboa, I kept it in the box waiting for the perfect display then I saw all the posts about decay..I pulled him out and sold it.   I do wish we could get a better flexible material. I've seen human figures they are doing in silicone with jointed bodies and have some motion but still it's silicone.  Better than latex but eventually it will fall apart. I might just keep my Nanmu one. They managed to use PVC and it didn't break in shipping.
