I've added images for the Eikoh figures that lacked them!  I'm unable to add new figures currently as I don't know whether, when exporting results, to select formatted values or raw values.

Added the Haolonggood Saurolophus pair, the Eikoh Miniature Planet Infinity Stegosaurus and Mosasaurus pairs.

Now off to adding some more Mattel things.

Edit: Also added years to the Eikoh Infinity figures that didn't have them. Best I could find was Amazon listings and at least one blog post. I don't know if they are completely accurate, but they are the earliest dates I was able to find for these particular ones. They line up with their other previous release years for what it is worth. I think that's all the Eikoh figures added now too?

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin!  I believe that now all the Eikoh prehistoric figures are on the dinotoycollector site.  I went through all of the Eikoh listings of that site we were talking about and there aren't any more Eikoh prehistoric figures there.

Faelrin

Thanks for double checking on that. Good that they are up to date now.

And I did a massive update with all the new Mattel reveals from last night and today. Most still don't have images though (no codes), but they are there to add to one's wishlist if they'd like.

Only one I held off with adding. If you know, you know.

Phew... finally had some time and done it:

If you want to, you can now share your collection and profile with others!

I want to join in and thank you for keeping things updated!
The next feature will be the implementation of the suggestions and moderation. This might results in another kind of work for the database.

Link to my collection for the people curious how it looks like.

I'm just copying the text from my site:

If you set your profile visibility to public in your settings, a button will appear to generate a link to your profile. Visitors can see a quick overview and explore your collection.

On top of that, usernames in comment sections are now clickable if the profile is public, allowing direct access to user profiles. (All profiles are private by default.)

Added:
- Public users can share their collection and wishlist; others can browse them.

Update:
- Removed ads that appeared when navigating between different pages.
- Password reset email is now sent in English.

Go public and share your collection with the world!

EDIT:
avatar_Sim @Sim
Simply use the formatted values. I will have a look into it, what it means anyway.

avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector Thanks for adding this feature. I imagine it will be helpful to share in collection threads, and so on.

Here you go guys, have at it:

BlueKrono

I just created mine yesterday. I've added just over 500 figures, which I estimate is perhaps a quarter to a third of my prehistorics. I'd say approximately a third of the figures in my physical collection are as yet undocumented on the site:

https://dinotoycollector.com/index.php?page=dashboard

I found the search function quite frustrating on the site. Additionally, it logs me out frequently and the log in page seems to be permanently set to German. I can't even translate the page to English on my phone, but I can translate it to Spanish, which works for me.

Thank you for your honest words. If you can, please answer these questions:

1. Are you using the website on a mobile phone?
2. Could you tell me what exactly feels frustrating?
3. How often do you have to log in?

I will get rid of the german part. Sorry. Sometimes I sketch in German and switch to English. You can't translate the site into english, because it's set to english. And when there are german words defined as english... yeah...

Dear DTC-Mods, especially avatar_Sim @Sim & avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin
I am working at a management tool for the site which is integrated directly on the main site.
Could you tell me how you use the current management tool?
- Is it simply exporting and importing an excel file?
- Do you use the filter function there or just the searchbar?
- any wishes for your workflow?

thanks in advance :)

Faelrin

Occasionally I import/export an excel sheet, especially when I have a huge amount to add (like I did years back with the Takara Tomy stuff), but most of the times I go directly to the database editor and just add things manually one at a time (because I usually only add in a few things here and there).

I absolutely use the filters and the search bar as needed.

I haven't mentioned it but for you it is already possible to edit entries directly on the website on the browse or product page. There is a little icon next to the figure once you are logged in. This way we can make quick edits.

HLG Brachiosaurus has double entry for "orange" variant and none for the "blue", is this a bug? :o

Faelrin

Looks like there's an issue with the Tyrannosaurus using the same code (159) as the blue Brachiosaurus. I was just using the ones I saw in images without realizing it had the same code, possibly by mistake. I'll try to correct that today. Probably should be 161 for the Tyrannosaurus if I had to guess.

I'll get the new Euhelopus up as well.

Edit: So both the Brachiosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus appear to have the same codes on their boxes as well, oddly enough. Happy Hen Toys is listing the blue Brachiosaurus as HLG-159-X, so I might just use that for the meantime. I will wait and see if the Tyrannosaurus is 159 or not once they get them into stock there. So I'll go back to using it as HLG-159, with the Brachiosaurus as HLG-159-X for the meantime, especially as the blue Brachiosaurus appears to be a limited release as well from what I understand.

Edit 2: Fixed and added Euhelopus. Also added in some images and codes for the newest wave of Mattel JW HC figures (Stygimoloch, etc). Might add more figures from Nanmu and Bandai later today. We'll see.

I use the management tool to export and import excel files and also to add images.  I use the filter function.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Based on that, I'll try to streamline the process even further going forward.

I've spent the last two weeks deep-diving into the website's architecture. I'm taking a short break now — it was a painful process, but worth it. Most of the work happened behind the scenes, so you might not notice much at first glance 😄
There are still some minor bugs, but nothing critical for now.

avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono
The mobile version of the site has been significantly improved. It's probably not perfect yet, but I hope the overall user experience feels much smoother now. On top you can find a search bar, login/logout Icon + filter menu. On the bottom there is a navigation for easier acces to the different pages.

avatar_Samrukia @Samrukia
A new filter system has been added — you can now combine multiple filter options, such as selecting several years, companies, or other attributes simultaneously. This should make it much easier to find exactly what you're looking for!

Other recent changes:

  • More German labels removed
  • Homepage layout improved, especially "Random Figure" and "News"
  • User area now split into Overview, Statistics and Profile
  • Visuals across the site made more consistent
  • Product cards improved for mobile
  • User dashboard redesigned for better clarity

+ some bug fixes

The new sidebar seems a little thin from what I've noticed on my 1920x1080 full screen browser? The names of things are cut off (particular offenders are the companies, lines, and group names) with no horizontal scrollbar to fully read the names, with the exception of the company block.

Like is it supposed to be looking this way?

Edit: I've also noticed a bug of sorts. I cannot simultaneously select an animal's group tag with a company tag. Selecting one or the other will reset the other tag. For example trying to narrow down PNSO's selection to Dinosauria - Sauropodomorpha will clear the PNSO tag, and vice versa.

Edit 2: Okay so I've noticed if I click the checkbox it works as intended, but if I click the name, which is easier to do, being closer to the middle of the screen, it causes the above issue.
