They always seem to fumble at the goal line with their paint jobs. Thats especially unforgivable on a near 500 dollar figure. Shame too, the titanosaur sequence was a standout in the film

Blade-of-the-Moon

Exactly. That prototype/enhanced cg statue they showed off at the start looked really good I was very tempted.

Their Triceratops paint apps looked really good, but then we get this Titanosaurus..

I'm waiting for their Mosasaurus, it is my most anticipated figure and probably the only one I would get by DD

Torvosaurus

The color of the titanosaur is, uhm, brown. I have yet to see the film, but all the screenshots of titanosaurs in the trailer do not look like that.

I use browns a lot when washing figures because it generally blends in better than black and is less likely to stain the figure. They also allow different shades and colors to use for washes. But that figure looks like the wash was not diluted enough and tinted the paint.

This is exactly what it looks like. A very heavy brown wash OBSCURING everything.  Then they used a gloss seal?

Just give the license to HLG already lol

blnadal

they are definetely not this color on screen

here is what they look like in the movie:

I hope we see a Titanosaurus by W-Dragon, but if not, I'll order one with the 3D artist

Blade-of-the-Moon

I could buy one and have it professionally repainted but for the price I'd rather not.  I already have to get the buck Rex repainted.

I saw those and more on FB, apparently " 30 Lucky super fans " received the Titanosaurus early.  It looks better in some of those pics and worse in others..it's just almost entirely a muddy brown though and it's not nearly as big as it seemed.  Maybe about the size as HLG's Argentinosaurus for more than double the price.

It's ok, just not as big a fan of that design. Most of the JW designs felt a bit lazy?

I like the concept, but I think they should make a 1:1 scale version of her.

Looks like the paint while detailed did take a few steps back from that prototype image we saw. The patterns especially aren't as vibrant.

I also just read it's hollow on Lanatimeshop? And it's twice the cost the HLG Argentinosaurus or more.  I'd have a hard time justifying that even for a licensed piece.

Maybe Rottocasted?   Hollow?
