Aaaand it's gone. Lasted 15 minutes.

Carnoking

That was a quick one. I hope everyone who really wanted it got an order in and that none of the eBay sellers listing pre-sales for these did  >:D

Better for me, no time of agonizing doubting of whether or not getting it while still in stock.

Plus I have zero spare money for it. :P

Anyway, when we can expect to see some pictures and/or announcements from the Mattel booth in SDCC?

On my end it was sold out instantly. As soon as the countdown was over.  Never had a chance.

A shame such a popular character like the Buck is locked behind an SDCC paywall ::)

Hopefully the speed at which this set sold will encourage Mattel to make one that's actually more updated and screen accurate

Sincerely. I am actually becoming more and more disinterested in Mattel dinos each time these problems happen. Limited and exclusive items, poor distribution, things going out of production after a single wave.

I'll stick to buying accurate realistic dinos from PNSO and such from now on. I hope Jurassic franchise gives us a break of a few years from making new movies too, clearly it is not going well in that regard as well. Maybe then Mattel can stop producing so much dinos and I don't have to bother with them.

To be honest, at this point I simply wish Mattel completely stopped production of Jurassic stuff for a few years.

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro People were reporting you had to refresh once the countdown ended because it was falsely showing that afterwards. Did the same thing last year from what I recall. Need to update their site so it doesn't say that.

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp Same situation here.

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Hopefully they do one with a more screen accurate paint job next time. Honoring the Kenner Bull toy was nice, but it does deviate from the film's design somewhat.

This was my experience. Once I reloaded it showed up as available.

I spoke to many people who were waiting in the virtual queue to check out, only for it to be sold out by the time they reached the checkout screen.

Not just the paint job even, the base figure itself could use some improvements to make it screen accurate as avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking pointed out.

Maybe it's just me coping, but I sincerely hope that a proper TLW Bull will be a general release in the near future. Save the weird "reimagined" homages for exclusives, and keep the popular stuff as wide release.

I did, multiple times. The second the countdown ended, I refreshed. And then was sold out. Refreshed again, and again.... still doing it now. Doesn't matter.

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro Ah I see, so it was actually sold out for you when you tried. Yeah that's gotta be a bummer.

I'm holding out hope that we'll see the bull/buck in 2027 for the 30th anniversary of TLW.

Bummer doesn't even begin to describe the rage I am feeling  :*D
Gotta love neurodivergent justice sensitivity. Right now I am internally cursing scalpers, Mattel, capitalism, Universal and more.  :*D  :*D

sounds like another toy manufacturer's exclusive that does them more harm than good.  Makes a few hundred happy (many of them scalpers) and p...es off thousands of loyal fans of the line.  Dumb in the extreme.  The only way to stop it is to vote with your wallets.

Yes, but if you think about it, not buying the exclusive only it doesn't really work. The scalpers will buy the whole stock Mattel has made and resell on eBay. If they fail at selling it by triple or double the price, they come down to the normal retail price to recuperate the investment.

Mattel does not care about us. Does not matter to them if we collectors buy it or a single scalper does. They profit anyway.

*edit* oops, posted that in the wrong place.

well, i was referring to not buying ANY of Mattel's Jurassic line, or cut way back, in protest.  A sort of boycott.  I posted on here a little while ago about how many years ago Playmates blew it big time with their Star Trek line, in no small part to exclusives that upset the fan base.  This was before the internet and the fans had no real way of organizing en masse but enough of them got p'd off with Playmates and stopped buying the line that it eventually got cancelled.

Corporate execs can be tone deaf to fans...they only respond to dollar signs.
