Quote from: Monkeysaurus on August 17, 2025, 09:54:22 PMYeah, if I had a Time Machine I'd probably order the blue instead of the "brown" at this point but it's already on its way. Maybe I'll get the blue as well at some point but space is limited.

If you ordered from LanaTimeShop you can email them to request a change. I ordered a green Brachiosaurus, and I asked them to change to a blue. They didn't respond, but the Brachiosaurus that showed up was blue XD.

Edit: Oh wait I somehow missed the part about it already being on the way.

I ordered from Amazon. I try to avoid ordering from Lana as much as possible. I preordered their Alamo on May first of this year and it's still not here. I could've had it about a month and a half ago if I just waited to order it on Amazon. They're very helpful but ungodly slow.

I've never had an issue with Lana before. Some pieces are too large to go their normal route and take longer.  You can always inquire and they will respond quickly.

I would inquire, seems especially large packages can get stuck in Chinese mail until sender takes action, often it is quietly returned to sender from being 50grams heavier then declared, then fly out of the country after new documents are issued. This happened to both my argentinosaurus and a whale model from Lana, I was on the ball and notified them asap when the tracking turned weird and as soon as the packages got back to their local post office they reshipped them within 24 hours.

I did enquire - they said it was in the U.S and should be delivered within the week I asked. That was three weeks ago. I'm absolutely cursed with the HLG Alamosaurus. I've ordered it a total of five times - eBay  three times - first time it never showed up, second time it got lost in Canada somewhere, third time they said it was in stock but they'd get back to me about payment. I also ordered it on another site but I got a message saying they were out of stock and got refunded, and now with Lana it's stuck somewhere for some reason. I preordered it the second it was available as well. In the meantime it's been for sale everywhere else for over a month now. I think the universe really doesn't want me to have one for some reason.
Just because I have a short attention span doesn't mean

Yeah, it's decided - the grey Brontosaurus is for me.

I think I need to fill in some information here in order to put things into perspective.

For the last two years I have been ordering PNSO and Haolonggood figures as well as some selected resin models from Lana and their service has been outstanding in every aspect you can think of. My orders did always come quite fast and the average shipping time to Europe is something like 10 to 12 days, counting in the slower EMS shipments of the large Haolonggood sauropods.

The story about the Alamosaurus is different to what one could think from your post. The first production batch of the Haolonggood Alamosaurus (all three variants) was sold out at some point at the end of last year or early this year. After many customer requests Haolonggood agreed to produce another batch of the two standard color variants, but the production of this batch was delayed several times.

So the delay that you have been experiencing is by no means the fault of Lana but due to the production delay by Haolonggood.

That grey Brontosaurus would have been my ultimate figure of the species if it were completely grey. But since it is only mottled grey, I went "all out" for the yellow/blue. But maybe I am just trying to find excuses for the fact that I didn't choose the grey version. In any case, I will enjoy the beauty of it.

As a side ramble, I want to mention this insight I had - kind of a little shock - about the size of the animal as conveyed by this model: although it certainly is a huge animal compared to even our biggest extant land animals, as a sauropod among sauropods it is kind of mid sized, compared to other even more giant bruisers that have been discovered. I don't know how to say exactly what I felt, but it is nice to be able to see, through the medium of scale models, the "real" size of Brontosaurus (or at least, the specific species this model is portraying) compared to other dinosaurs.
