Is it the plateosaurus Collecta? I hope that neither your shelf nor the figure is damaged. These things in which we are collectors unfortunately happen.

Yes, it is. It happened two years ago. It wasn't damaged, my husband opened the glass door and I was quick to put my hand to catch it before it crashed to the floor.

you could have put a pillow on the floor. so when you opened the door the figure didn't fall with a Big Bang.
