Blade-of-the-Moon

Just saw the SDCC exclusive..I need at least two of them :)

MLMjp

I feared this year's exclusive would be something too good to pass on. Glad I was wrong.

But hey, this another example of how exclusives should be, something cool, but not essential for the collection.

Carnoking

Definitely an "it is what it is" kind of release. It's fun, and I'll most likely try to get at least one for the novelty of it, but I can still think of a few things I would have enjoyed more.

Who knows though? Maybe this will be a perfect addition to their "Jurassic World Reimagined" line.

#1003
I want it, but mostly for the little Dimorphodon trio. I remember getting a kick out of the scene when I first watched the film in theaters too. A nice little tribute to remember the man as well, who passed away last year.

That said with us getting him this year, I wonder what will be the SDCC exclusive with the 10th anniversary of Jurassic World next year? Plus 2 more days until we see the launch of the likely related Jurassic World re-imagined line.

Edit: Here's the images for folks to see:

Edit 2: Should also mention it is available on July 25th at Mattel Creations in addition to SDCC, and is only $30.

I wanted to ask about a topic from the Kenner Jp figures, but couldn't find a recent thread (some of them are from 2013), so I thought maybe you could help me out. Please, if there is another thread dedicated to Kenner JP could you please share a link, or feel free to move my comment. Meanwhile, I'll just hide my comment as this may not be the right place to post my question.

Spoiler
Does anybody know how much does the Kenner Trasher T. Rex weigh? I'm planning to get one and might need an idea of how much I'll be paying for international shipping

Thanks and again, sorry if this isn't the place to post this question.

In the box or out? Out it shouldn't be more than a couple pounds?

Thanks for your reply. I'm planning to get a loose one. Would it be possible it reaches 1 kg?

Here's the link for the above figure. Also it's not much, but good to see Mattel donate to charity (from the product description):

What a fantastic Con exclusive! I can't get over how thoughtfully executed it is. It's got everything. This one is... *chefs kiss*

I think it's fantastic, I've been a HUGE Parrothead since I was in highschool. I've read his books, listened to his music extensively..this is a great merger of two of my favorite things.  I was happy when JW had Margaritaville: Isla Nublar and featured an original song by Jimmy but this just adds to it so much.

That's around a pound isn't it?

Where? Isn't Beyond the Gates a Classic 93' piece this week?  I think it's supposedly the Young T-Rex set too?

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Oh you are indeed right. It's next months. Looks like my brain mixed things up in anticipation of it.

No worries. I got all excited thinking I had missed something lol  ;D

There's the young rex.
Hmm, it's reusing the body of the extreme chompin' rex...

Carnoking

Yeah, not a huge fan of them reusing the EC mold for the body on this one but then again it looks too nice to take out of the package anyway so it's not the end of the world for me.

I'm also keen to see the Jurassic World reimagined line. A mix of the '93 aesthetic with the modern figures? Sounds like it could be interesting but I'm not sure what to make of it exactly.

Yeah but at least it's a new head sculpt and repaint. I actually like the first brown Juv Rex coloration more but this one has that Battat Rex feel that's nostalgic. Jeep also looks good.  Shame the preorders are never up when they claim they will be lol

I have no idea what they are planning with the JW reimagined line. That's a bit wordy to put on a package is my first thought lol I'm guessing the 93' classic line is proving popular enough to keep doing so it might just be something like that.  If it finally gets me that JW Claire I need for my scenes I'm good with it lol

Carnoking

If it means they're keeping the vehicles/weapons/capture gear of the '93 line, maybe we'll get a roided up Claire with a rocket launcher  ;)

Gwangi

Not too upset about them using the ED body. At least the head is new. And I love the paintjob, I always liked that version of the young T. rex the most.

oh lord lol

On one hand..nope. On the other..I'm curious.  ;D  As long as it's not just a ton of repaints.  We need quite a bit for the first film. They could also finally release Franklin.

Dilopho

Does the head look really low on detail to anybody else? In terms of the skin.
I'm kind of surprised they didn't make it an extreme damage figure,...but that probably would have made it too expensive.
