Got mine! Might look a little weird but not gonna miss the first Wu!

My thoughts as well.

Pros:
- It's Wu!
- It's got Mr. DNA!

Cons:
- Hate the "packaging as playset" Mattel is so fond of.
- Likeness looks like an older BD Wong, and hair isn't quite right.

Still, the pros are enough to outweigh the cons for me.

Looking at the still of BD, I can see what they were going for with the hair but I'm not sure it translated in the end. Plus his younger appearance seems to have a less angular head.

Right, it looks like they wanted a "spiky" appearance for the hair, but getting it to actually look like the hair of Dr. Wu in the first film seems like something they struggled with.

Younger BD Wong doesn't quite have the squared jaw that he grew into. The overall head shape is much more present day Wong than 30 years ago Wong.

On the plus side, might make repurposing this figure as a JW Wu a little more likely🤔
Heck throw in a change of jacket and a long haired head replacement, you could have the whole trilogy look in one set essentially!

I saw an entire endcap of the new Allo in person Monday, it's nicer than I thought but still not one I need unless it's deeply discounted.

I did get my Wu set today, it actually made me excited listening to the audio, sounds like Wu and Mr DNA are giving lectures. lol

Saw him at walmart today, not a bad Triceratops figure, just not much of a JP/JW Trike to me.
