They show it at toyfair and to merchants who say " Nah we don't need to carry that, how about more action sets with vehicles and dinosaurs? "

With the release of a new raptor sculpt (Blue), I'm hoping Mattel goes back and resculpt their Gallimimus with smaller feet, better proportions and better screen accuracy. The difference in quality of presentation between the two are staggering.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm very excited for this Dimetrodon. I love having articulated models and action figures of species that you wouldn't expect. Here's to hoping that we might get a Hammond Collection Lystrosaurus.

Still waiting for the clearance sales at Target to make room for Eoraptor and Poposaurus...

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres I heard they were showing up in some Walmarts already, but your mileage may vary. I hope I have the luck of getting those later this year, if not next year. Eoraptor in particular has been a childhood favorite of mine ever since I played the Jurassic Park III Park Builder game on my GBA. I've always liked that it's name means "Dawn thief", rather fitting as it still one of the earliest true dinosaurs we know about (alongside Herrerasaurus).

By the way here's a review of the new HC Dimetrodon, etc:

My local walmarts suck at getting new stock in. They always have dozens and dozens of 1 or 2 specific figures filling up and rotting in the shelves. One of them had over 20 Attack Pack Echo from 2019 all the way until Dominion stuff started coming in. It's half a miracle that I managed to find the Borealopelta and Nothosaurus and I'm still looking for Ornithocheirus. Hopefully I can catch those two Halichoeres mentioned with the same luck I did with the Nothosaurus.

The "big feet are necessary" crowd are getting quieter and quieter by the day ;)

Blue's sculpt is easily the highlight of the three. I hope Mattel goes back and redo all their raptors in this new and improved sculpt as the old one is absolutely atrocious for a premium line such as the HC.

The Dimetrodon is lackluster imo. The only thing it improves upon the mainline ver. is the paint job (and to some extend articulation), but even then it looses points on that unecessary glass eye, really makes it look like a dead animatronic/puppet. The articulation isn't great, and I feel that the lack of wrist articulation and limited neck movement really hurts the figure. While the minute scale details of the face are more accurate on the HC, I think the mainline's headsculpt just has a better presence and presentation.

When is BBTS going to put these and the Carnotaurus for preorder?! It has been a month since Owen and Blue were announced!

Please, they are the best option for international customers to get the figures outside USA. I´m getting worried...

Blue is fantastic, the blue stripe through the leg is the only real criticism I have about it. And that the eyes look vacant depending on the lighting. I too hope they redo the other raptors. I got the Jurassic Park raptor but skipped on the JP3 ones, I just couldn't do it. This should mean that any Lost World raptors in the HC collection will be more like Blue than the previous raptors. This is good, since the tiger striped raptors are my personal franchise favorites.

I'll have to get Owen too. Can't have Blue without him. On the bright side for me personally, I don't already own a Blue or Owen. Hopefully this means a JW Claire is not far behind.

The Dimetrodon is probably a pass unless I can find it cheap. I'll stick with my mainline version even if it's the ED one. The articulation doesn't benefit the HC Dimetrodon much. They dropped a lot of balls with that one.

BBTS can be sssllllllooowwwww.... about listing things.

Target changed the preorder arrival date of theirs to the end of this month. Maybe BBTS won't get them til after Target and Amazon which I swear sources Target warehouses all the time.  Could be a sort of temporary exclusives deal.

I really hope we get a Claire figure, but I need one from the first film along with much of that cast.

My friend got one for me since I can't afford it atm. He said they didn't put an order limit on it. Did you or anyone else encounter that as well?

Got mine! Might look a little weird but not gonna miss the first Wu!

Likewise. And if I don't like the set enough I can just sell it on to someone who does.

My thoughts as well.

Pros:
- It's Wu!
- It's got Mr. DNA!

Cons:
- Hate the "packaging as playset" Mattel is so fond of.
- Likeness looks like an older BD Wong, and hair isn't quite right.

Still, the pros are enough to outweigh the cons for me.

45€ in total...I do have the money but I also have other things I wanna spend it on... I'm not sure...
