If anything it's impressive how big the company manages to feel to many of us most of the time, at least from a USA customer perspective. I, personally, continue to receive excellent service every time I order from Safari Ltd (my order already arrived a few days ago!); but I can sympathize with those outside the country who don't have such convenient access.

I have not received mine yet, I assume we both ordered during the sale? I haven't even gotten an email stating the package has shipped. I love Safari but I will say this, their shipping communication could be better. I don't usually complain about it though, my packages always get here and I always assume that they will, even if I never know when.

I've only had the odd issue, missing item or damaged item, and they might take a day or so but they get back to me. Shipping time, only once took a lot longer than I figured and as soon as I asked they sent it out, must have been lost or misplaced?

Yup, same time. Oddly enough, I don't think I received a shipping notification email this time either; I guess the package arrived so quickly I didn't have time to notice. That's fair room for improvement, though.

Well, you got your package three days after placing an order and I haven't even gotten a shipping notification or anything over the last 6 days. Guess it's time to see what's up.  ::)

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi Mine hasn't shipped yet either for what it is worth.

Edit: Safari Ltd has said it was fulfilled but I got no tracking notification so I have no way to know if this has shipped or when it will arrive (edit 2: or if it does).

I reached out to them. Normally I wouldn't bother (I'm sure it will get here) but when one customer gets their package in 3 days and another doesn't have theirs a week later then it's time to call them out. The order confirmation email states that I would get a notification when the package shipped and I still don't even have that. I'm willing to bet it has been shipped even though I never got a notification. I don't think I've ever gotten a shipping notification in the past and I've never gotten a tracking number either.

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi I just did the same. Good luck to us both.

I also haven't gotten a shipment notification or anything.
I'll wait until Monday to see if I 1) hear from them or 2) get a notification

I have had multiple issues ordering directly from Safari, but not because of Safari but rather Fed-ex, who they use. I wish they'd switch to USPS or UPS.

Gwangi

I got an email back from Safari with a tracking number. My package is due to be delivered tomorrow. At least Safari was quick to reply! Good customer service on that front.

Faelrin

I got one now as well. That was fast. Mine is also expected tomorrow as well.

Received my order today as well. Missing one item going to contact them and see if it was a stock issue or oversight. I didn't get a receipt this time in the box.

Seems like the Fed Ex in my area has once again screwed up for me (see my Rebor Stegosaurus post for more info).

Here's the recent tracking history from today:

4:16 AM At local FedEx facility
4:23 AM Shipment exception (Barcode label unreadable and replaced)
4:26 AM Arrived at FedEx location
9:27 AM Delivery exception (Future delivery requested)

I'm not given any more info for the delivery exception.

And despite my estimated arrival date being today, I got this message in my email as well:

QuoteHi. The estimated delivery time window of your package is no longer available. You will receive an update if the time window becomes available.

It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to deliver to the wrong address nearby once again (unless something else has happened this time).

Edit: I was at least able to intervene and have it sent to a pickup location. Just need to wait for it to be ready there then.

My package arrived.  ^-^

Faelrin

Another update. Delayed again, with no explanation. Estimated delivery is now Monday, the 8th. It did start snowing early this morning so I can understand any potential delay today in the case of that, but it wasn't doing that at 8 last night. So unless they are backed up on mail, short staffed, etc, not sure why. In any case it makes me hesitant to do any orders that use Fed Ex in the future. Granted I intend to be saving funds for a long time to come, but still.

From yesterday after I sent the request to pick up the package up at a Fed Ex office:

1:30 PM Delivery option requested (Hold at FedEx Office request received - Check back later for shipment status)
7:57 PM Arrived at FedEx location
7:57 PM Hold at location request accepted (Shipment is being redirected as requested to FedEx Office)
8:13 PM Delay (Package delayed)

Saturday, 1/6/24
3:32 AM At local FedEx facility
8:41 AM Delivery exception (Future delivery requested)

Takama

You know?

I i trust the USPS more then any of these independent ran carrairs because i usualy have more issues with them then the USPS.

So I never understand why almost NOONE offers you what kind of shipping to choose from.

I just placed a order recently for the Incredible Cretures Axulti and Wild Safari Sealife Bowhead whale, and I swear if Fed Ex screws this up,    I may not shop at safaris website anymore, provideing they keep relying on them.

Im terribly sorry

Faelrin

I finally got my package today. Well it was available Monday, but had to wait for someone to pick it up until today.

Anyways, I'll post more about this in the recent acquisitions thread.
