The Utahceratops has estimates from 4.5-5 meters from one source and 6-7 meters from another.
Their Pachyrhinosaurus is a bit big for 1:35 since it represents P. lakustai by the frill, which is generally agreed to be 5 meters long.

At 17 cm, the models at 1:35 scale would represent a 6-meter individual. At 1:30 it would represent a 5-meter individual.
On and off dinosaur collecting phases over the span of millions of years has led me to this very forum.

I love this calculations. I didn't bought the Pachy because I own the Safari Doug Watson one.

I just received my purple Argentinosaurus today. It is MASSIVE!! You truly don't realize how big, and HEAVY it is until you have it in hand. I still have no idea where I'm putting this. It may have to live on the coffee table for now.

The Huayangosaurus is so tiny yet intricate and so well painted. I can see why it was included as a gift.

The paintwork is so well done on a large scale. I honestly think this figure looks amazing no matter what paint scheme you choose. I have so many outdoor photography ideas but I don't know how I'm going to transport this beast. It towers over my Kaiyodo blue whale. The largest and most expensive thing I've ever purchase but in my mind worth every penny. I will have to wait on more dinosaur figures for awhile as my wallet recovers.

Which color do you have?

I've acquired Doug's one too, and also this HLG, the somewhat unorthodox PNSO and the almost forgotten Battat, which shares a mutual chunkiness with the HLG, a trait which I prefer for Pachyrhinosaurus. BTW, thanks avatar_Skorpio V. @Skorpio V. and avatar_Turkeysaurus @Turkeysaurus for that info!

DefinitelyNOTDilo

Does anyone know which company ships PNSO and HLG models to the US the fastest?

Lanatimeshop. But it will cost you for the fastest. They are more than willing to work with you though.

I've just received one of the other large guys, the Apatosaurus. There is a long story with this model because I ordered it when it was released but the parcel was returned when it got here almost to my home (we don't know why). The money was returned but I never reordered it because I decided to spend the money in 3 other smaller models.
What has been my SURPRISE now that Apatosaurus and the Alamosaurus are SOLD OUT almost everywhere and they aren't in stock in Haolonggood's stores either (as they have told me). You may find some Apatosauruses yet in one or two Aliexpress shops and some other shops like Lanatime, Everything Dinosaur and others but not the Alamosaurus which is out of stock everywhere (the stock of some Aliexpress shops is not real). So hurry up if you want to have these two large models, specially the Alamosaurus because I have been watching how they were more and more scarce (disappearing in one shop then another) until they have almost vanished (that's when I decided to get them).
So I have finally bought the Alamosaurus here https://www.speelboer.com/modellen/haolonggood with no custom fees, the base and the pterosaur and only 12€ as shipping costs. I have not received it yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I love that figure.

By now I will enjoy my other large boi, the Apatosaurus. It is way larger and heavier than I imagined. And it is also darker, not orange (but I don't know why it looks like so in most pictures, not only mine). It is perfectly dark for my taste and suits very nicely such a large animal. I didn't want the grey one because the seams are more visible and I already have the grey-brown mamemchisaurus (that is grey because-yes).

It is surprising that the Alamosaurus is sold out already and this is not even a year after this has been released. I checked and it is even sold out at Lana Time Shop. This just tells me that these large sauropods have been very popular and must have sold like hot cakes.

Maybe Haolonggood will make another batch of the Alamosaurus at some point, because this is a size and price range that is still feasible for many collectors, unlike the Argentinosaurus which is in a different category. I mean true sauropod enthusiasts will probably find the funds and space for the Argentinosaurus, but collectors with a different focus may not be ready to allocate such a large fraction of their resources to one huge figure.

Perhaps the story also goes like Haolonggood needed to clear out warehouse space for the Argentinosaurus and the upcoming Brachiosaurus / Giraffatitan and will make another batch of Alamosaurus when this business is through. But then who knows which giants they have already in the making for next year.

Edit: Lana has the following information on their website: Pre-order, the first batch of the Color A and B without Base has been sold out, the second batch is in production, the expected shipping time: the end of October 2024

Argentinosaurus variants are all great and i'm not trying to be PC about it. However when i compared them to eachother:

Brown was my least favorite at first as main color. However now i find it's mottled paint application is the richest among all variants. Fine blends of various tones of colors on it's back and legs (orange, yellow even greenish hue) and even tones differences between dark spots make it special imo. Only think i don't like blue paint on face & tail. It's a haolongood signature but it looks weird when you have multiple dinosaurs from same brand.

Purple is more like purple-ish brown color. Definetely more brown than purple. Not a fault for me , i like it from My Alamosaurus. I do think blue/white and pink/orange lines a bit extra and doesn't blend that well. I prefer the lines look "Blue" Variant or blends like orange lines  "Brown" variant better.  Mottled browns looks great, i don't know if they have similar tone differences like in brown variant.

Green seems a bit plain in terms of not having white wash that makes Blue looks richer yet natural. Also dark lines and splotches seems  quite strong but not different tones and they are spare compared to mottled look of brown and purple variants. Brown on it's back seems mono color though i'm not sure. We don't have much video footage and close up to it's skin so i might be wrong. It probably has best colors but least favorite paint application among all variants.

Blue is a classic. White wash makes it look so rich , nice tone blue-ish grey color. The lines from eyes to tail and color of them aren't distractive and makes great but dull color more attractive to look at.

I like the blue & green at first most. Now blue & brown are my favorites.  Forgive me if my english is bad, it isn't my native language.

Hello everyone.
Yesterday the HAOLONGGOOD Argentinosaurus arrived, color variant 131. It was a crazy expense, but the model in person is so impressive that the photos don't do it justice. Truly magnificent. Much better than I expected in reality. The color combination is gorgeous and fades from an orange hue on the belly to an almost black green on the back, with a very realistic transition. The head has a particular and well-placed reddish patch. The model really expresses all the power that the animal must have had in life.

Everybody says it's better than the photos for their variants, it's great to hear.

Quote from: triceratops83 on December 03, 2024, 03:23:37 PMAs far as I'm concerned, a 1:35 scale model of the largest dinosaur is the coolest thing ever, so here are some closeups and comparison pics for anyone still on the fence.

I appreciate this photo. I was wondering if Brown variant would be too similar to Apatosaurus colors. Apatosaurus is more orange/brown while Argentinosaurus is more yellow/brown and some green/brown on most of it's legs. They have similarities but tones don't look same even they are next to eachother.

I wish they used dark reddish tones of the nose or maybe brown/green color of legs instead of blue for the mask and tail. I might try paint it myself even though it's quite risky for an expensive toy.

Turkeysaurus

I ordered Brown variant.

I won't have it in my hands next 4 years though.  LoL.

Looks nice about the scale. It seems to be the size of the Dilophosauruses.

Both are great. I prefer haolonggood's size though. I think Majungasaurus was one of those animals that didn't have great toy representation and got like 3 great ones pretty close.

Not the best picture but here is my purple Argentinosaurus with the Papo rex, velociraptor, spinosaurus, Haolonggood stegosaurus, triceratops, & the huayangosaurus. Absolutely stellar figure.
