This is the second step.
Rules: as written in
http://www.dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,1108.0.html
You have until January 31th (included) to vote. The first dinosaurs win and exceed the second step.
You have only one vote but you can change your vote.
Good vote at all ...  ;)

Although an Apatosaurus would be nice, I think it would be better if Papo made a Therizinosaurus.

ZoPteryx

As much as I'd love a Therizinosaurus, we already got two last year, so I voted for Lambeosaurus. :)

There can never be too many Therizinosauruses! :D

I went for Lambeosaurus..no has made a really good one yet.  Though my second would have been Amargasaurus.

Apatoesaurus,   I wish to see more then one Sauropod in Papos Collection

Plus, it's been quite a while before any well-detailed apatosaurs were made in 1:40. The most recent Wild Safari one was too small for a proper sauropod and the Carnegie one, while detailed enough, is getting dated.

Also, Apatosaurus is part of the Holy Trinity of Dinosaurs (the others are Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops) and Papo seems to like focusing on popular dinosaurs. I ask you: Is there any dinosaur more iconic than the beloved brontosaur?

I always considered Apatosaurus part of the fav-FIVE myself:  T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brontosaurus, and Pteranodon/Pterodactyle

If Papo make a Lambeosaurus, let's hope they don't give it "TEETH inside the beak" http://www.dinotoyblog.com/2010/01/18/parasaurolophus-papo/

Yes, there are a few other iconic ones, and Velociraptor's probably up there by now. Still, Apatosaurus remains the only member of that group not in Papo's lineup.

My thinking is completely personal. I think that you shouldn't choose the dinosaur ONLY because it is your favorite among those that can be chosen. I think the your choice should take into account ALSO which the Papo's dinosaur you think the company can do better (especially from a scientific point of view, because that's where the forum will contribute).

Even if they do it's easily fixable with a dash of black paint. I fixed mine in about three seconds.. lol

In regards to Apatosaurus..Amargasaurus is a sauropod as well..and would go great with their Carno. I just don't think they would release another big sauropod so soon..though I could be wrong.  Carnegie will be redoing their Apatosaurus soon enough I'm sure..it's the last big sauropod they have left to fix up. ;)

There is one other classic dinosaur you are forgetting that is every bit as famous as the three you mention....
Stegosaurus! ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

You're probably right about the large sauropod but Amargasaurus wasn't particularly large by sauropod standards.

Having lived in Louisiana for a long time, the holy trinity of Cajun cooking, (celery, onion, bell pepper) still usually had a fourth and fifth member (garlic and parsley).  You can cook any cajun dish with these 4-5 ingredients, plus S+P, and thyme, of course. for seasoning.  Dino trinity (plus two) is debatable for the last, fifth member; obviously T-rex, trike, stego and bronto/apato make up the top four, but raptor, Dimetrodon, Parasaurolophus, Pteranodon and Ankylo are all in the running for the 5 spot, maybe even Elasmosaurus as well.  Whaddaya think, what's the #5 dino/prehistoric critter?  Mammoth doesn't count. ;)

Exactly, so there is probably a good chance of it getting made over a larger Apatosaurus I would think anyway.

If we cannot include mammoths we cannot really include Dimetrodon and Pteranodon either can we? I went to a seminar back in 2011 at my local museum and they talked about how they interviewed various people and had them name off as many dinosaurs as they could in a minute or so. Tyrannosaurus was on top of the list, everyone named it off. Second running were Triceratops and Stegosaurus in that order and when combined Apatosaurus and Brontosaurus tied with Triceratops. I believe Brachiosaurus, Allosaurus and Velociraptor were all next. So if public popularity and awareness is where you want to draw this trinity (plus 2) from then such a study might be worth looking at. If so the trinity (plus 2) would be Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus and Brachiosaurus.  Here is the link to the study... http://www.chriswildrick.com/speciesarama.html

Shouldn't we better call these Dinosaurs the Big Five in that case?

The Question is ofcourse, if Papo made an Apatosaurus, would it be similar to the Sideshow one ( which would be a nice alternative, just like the Carno ), or would we get one straight out of "The Age of Reptiles" ( Which would be a very nice Retrosaur to have ) ?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no
