The Edmontonia doesn't look too bad...if it has a decent width to it instead of being overly narrow like Mattel usually does on its ankylosaurs then i may get that.

Certainly lots to choose from in the rebirth line.

The Tyrannotitan has nice colors but that's about it? The teeth look like older Mattel figures. Almost reminds me of a modified Dryptosaurus? Maybe a generic Megalosaur.

I like the Lani and Edmontonia the most, I'll get those. Maybe the Torvoneustes. It reminds me of the sea monsters from Ice Age 2 which is a film I don't need reminding of.

Carnoking

Eotriceratops looks a little derpy but I'm pretty impressed by that Tyrannotitan. Lot of color on that one to be sure

Elengassen

I don't collect Mattel figures, but I'm just dropping by to say I like how the colours on the Edmontonia are a tribute to the old Battat figure.
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that lol
Do hope that those will end up being stocked over here though, the figure isn't bad (hoping it still has neck articulation like the Dakosaurus) and I'm always a fan of more marine reptiles.

Giganotosaurus

I love Ice Age and am happy it reminds me of  Cretaceous!  *-*  ;D

Utahraptor is definitely still my most anticipated figure of the Rebirth toyline however.
Mosasurus on Jurassic Mainframe and JPToys
Angurius on TohoKingdom

I love all the Jurassic movies, plus Disney's Dinosaur

I'm a bit tired of collecting non film species from Mattel, so I have a list of non film species to limit myself to.

Edmontonia is on that list.

Getting all three 'Frenzy Pack' figures. The small ones are pretty much the only ones I collect from the mainline nowadays save for a few exceptions.

Bit disappointing seeing the Edmontonia be downsized so much though. Would've expected the largest nodosaur to be in the medium size range, on par with the Ankylosaurus figures in size.

I think if the Eotriceratops's eye was up there, it would look better.

Is "Frenzy Pack" a new assortment name for Rebirth? It's kinda funny to me, as someone still fairly new to Mattel Jurassic, seeing all the different assortment names they've been throwing in over the years. I wonder if there's an article somewhere keeping track of the history of it all.

avatar_Ikkad @Ikkad 2018-2021 Attack Pack, 2022 Ferocious Pack, 2023-2025 Danger Pack, now Frenzy Pack. Wonder what's next. No idea why they change the names for their assortment either.

Been collecting the line since it launched in 2018.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Do they ever change the price point on these? That's the biggest reason, I would assume, for changes like these.

It's hard for me to make these pricing observations by myself, since my country's distributor has always priced these way beyond what I felt was reasonable (which is why I never bothered getting any until very recently).

Blade-of-the-Moon

I think they feel it keeps things fresh, if not for consumers than for the retailers looking at spread sheets. " why are are we ordering more of this? We already have this? "  lol

CityRaptor

Also why the packaging changes.

QuoteGame Theory:

Purchasing agents known as "buyers" make purchasing decisions for hundreds of American retail stores, making their best guess what products will sell and how many while trying to avoid being stuck with the dreaded "old product" (unsold toys) when the toyline ends.

Buyers purchase many toys from early waves reasoning that even if the toyline flops these will sell eventually over the line's (hopeful) year-to-eighteen-month "lifetime." Toys in later waves (eight-ish) represent a higher risk because they have only a six-month window to sell, and tend not to be purchased as heavily. As a result, toy companies spend less money developing later waves, often heavily featuring redecos and retools, making them even less attractive to retailers.

For their part, consumers try to avoid purchasing the pegwarmers and shelfwarmers left over as a toyline winds down, but lacking the encyclopedic product knowledge known only to buyers, fans, and small children, they learn to suspiciously avoid any packaging they recognize from the last birthday/Christmas/Kwaanza etc. (again making later-wave toys less attractive to retailers.)

A subline imprint refreshes the packaging for consumers (orange may become bright green in the same layout) while assuring the regional buyers that "No, seriously, this is a new toyline, you should purchase it more heavily!" Buyers aren't particularly fooled by this argument, but the re-branding is understood to be a sign that the toy companies have invested in these tail-end waves rather than filled them with junk, making larger retailer purchases a safer investment.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

andrewsaurus rex

are there any close up pics of the Edmontonia?

Halichoeres

Definitely in for the Iani and Torvoneustes. Probably also the Eotriceratops, but there's a chance that as a ceratopsid someone releases a realistic static version before this one is available.

I love the Iani. It actually looks like the animal!

Trenchcoated Rebbachisaur

What the heck is going on with Mattel making genera this obscure, are they trying to cater to us? :,D
Surprised but I am considering getting that Iani. It does not fit my scale (obviously) and the artstyle is really distinct, but damn, Rhabdodontid toys are pretty damn rare.

They've been doing that since the start but I think they consider it a personal challenge to get as obscure as they can at this point. They made a dinosaur toy based on a footprint! I think they might pull names from a hat.
