Thanks! I guess I'm used to seeing them in green.

To my knowledge mattel has made only 3 compsognathus that weren't the usual kelly green: one chartreuse, one toasty brown, and this rusty red one. All 3 of which were made for the animated series figure line now that I think about it.

I think it's supposed to represent Gordon, who was green lol, but did have the cone of shame on. Also was included in the CT Yaz set that released last year.

Target Circle has a $10 off $40 toy sale going on, which includes JW toys. Great time to grab a HC Stegosaurus.

(Pretty sure we have a deals thread, but I can't seem to find it...)

Carnoking

Does target ever retroactively add these deals to a purchase? Cuz of course I just bought the Stego a day early  ::D

Oh well, theres still plenty of other Mattel figures to catch up on. Hopefully the spino and troodon get a restock this week!

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking I mentioned this in the recent acquisitions thread, but Target isn't stocking them anymore. There's more info on this subbreddit in some of the recent threads:

https://reddit.com/r/hammondcollection/

Someone there posted a pic of the HC Stygimoloch on clearance already (which I just bought yesterday).

Hope this just means Target is done with them for now, as Amazon, BBTS, etc have yet to recieve them (in the US).

Man I'd be really disappointed if Target really is done with this wave already. My local target didn't even stock these figures, I only found the stigy, raptor, and Stego 2 and a half hours from home while on a weekend trip. But according to the website, there isn't a single spino on shelves in the entire state, which is beyond annoying

Faelrin

I've had no luck with Spinosaurus or Stegosaurus. Didn't see either one there yesterday. They only had two Stygimoloch (now one), and one raptor. No Troodon. Granted I didn't check the other one in the area (which is a bit farther out from where I am now). Target's website shows no Spinosaurus in stock for any store in my region either.

I wouldn't be surprised if the smaller HC figures were phased out but I think the larger ones will stick around for a bit. The Giga, Carno, Allo, and Theri all had long shelf lives. Still, I better at least pick up the Stegosaurus.

Blade-of-the-Moon

It might be a case of supply? The tariff and shipping chaos is just now being felt in some sectors.

has mattel made any other large crocodilian figures other than sarcosuchus, gryposuchus and the upcoming purussaurus?  No deinosuchus, correct?

Faelrin

A @andrewsaurus rex Correct. No Deinosuchus yet. Hopefully they do one.

thanks.  I think a Deinosuchus is inevitable at some point...they seem to be doing all the others first.  Though, they need to make a new Sarcosuchus.....the one they released is too cartoony and doesn't fit in size wise with the two more recent ones.  Maybe a HC Sarcosuchus?

Faelrin

A @andrewsaurus rex Sarcosuchus is in the same size range of this new Purussaurus. Gryposuchus was in the medium sized electronic range. That said the Sarcosuchus would benefit from the new sharp rubber teeth (and a proper longer tail). I have the Sarcosuchus on hand, and yeah it hasn't aged that well compared to the newer stuff (although I still adore it).

Well, the head on the Sarco is much larger than those of Gryp and Purus (in reality it should be virtually the same size, maybe a little bit larger) and as a result it's more out of proportion with the body than on the more recent 2 crocs.  That more than anything makes it look a bit more cartoonish, imo.  Anyway, time will tell if another Sarcosuchus tooling will be made.  Not sure they would do HC versions of the crocs but they do a lot of other surprising HC releases, so why not?  :)
