Quote from: DavidJamesArmsby on June 25, 2025, 02:00:13 AMHere's a quick demonstration of the difference between articulating the jaw from both points. The difference is subtle, but the PNSO does look a little dislocated when opened because the hinge is located too far back. But again; it's far from the worst example of this
...and I have no idea what they're doing with the Hammond Collection herbivores. XD

Articulation on that toro isn't the worst thing in the world, far from it, it's just makes it look kinda funky. But yeah Hammond collection do tend do make the jaw articulation super weird, Cory and para are the worst example of that. Theropods also have some issues where top jaw also moves up so it looks weirdly dislocated when mouth is open.
Also how how much detail you put in that last image lol the shattered bone made me giggle haha

Shantungosaurus! Finally! Looking good, the green version has caught my eye for now.

Are those inflatable nasal sacs (not sure what the scientific term is)...?

These first pics bode well for the Iguanodon. So hyped for HLG's interpretation!

Paleo Flo

Very nice...still waiting for Iggy Pop! 8)
Welcome to Florassic Park...my collection:

Trenchcoated Rebbachisaur

Oh, Shant! Wowie!
No blue variant, bit disappointed. Seems they shrinkwrapped part of the face too?
I guess I'm fine with more excuses to wait for the boundless World take on the genus before committing to a purchase...  :*D

Joliezac

Ooh I like the green one a lot. In the first pic it seems to tower over the Torosaurus, so this guy should be big!

Paleofigura on facebook is reporting the length to be 39 cm.

Pliosaurking

Looks great, I'll probably grab the green one!

That makes it roughly the size of the big PNSO vinyl one from back in 2016.

The brown one resembles the brown Apatosaurus a lot. Man, at this point HLG's color schemes are so repetitive. Their figures would certainly benefit from more variety color-wise. I always used to rate HLG's color schemes over PNSO's but I'm not sure I agree anymore.

Not that I need a Shantungosaurus in my collection (I'd rather have an Edmontosaurus, which I already do) but still glad for all those who were waiting for one.

Now bring on the Iguanodon!

Ajax88

Dang, really not digging the piant on these Shants. Bummer. PNSO's Edmonto is leauges better.

I agree. The paint schemes leave a lot to be desired and holy moly that's an ugly face! XD
It's not enough to stop me from buying it, and I'll try to reserve judgement until I get it in-hand. I'm very glad it seems to be big.

Well, if you don't like HLG's Shantungosaurus, you can wait for Boundless World's or PNSO's upcoming one.

It looks promising. I will wait for some of the reviews. I will also wait for the one from PNSO to compare it with (quality and price wise).

Edit: Sorry, the possible PNSO Shantungosaurus 😅

Sim

Has it been confirmed PNSO will be releasing a new Shantungosaurus?

Yes, it is, just like Gigantoraptor, Ichthyovenator, Mosasaurus and a lipped Tyrannosaurus.

In what form did the confirmation of PNSO making a Shantungosaurus come in?  The Gigantoraptor and lipped Tyrannosaurus aren't confirmed to be coming from PNSO, just possible due to things PNSO has shown or said.  Remember those unreleased PNSO models that have never been released, e.g. larger Huayangosaurus, resting Tsintaosaurus, larger Xenoceratops...

Concavenator

avatar_Sim @Sim All I know is that Paleofiguras stated the figures I previously mentioned are indeed confirmed to be coming. Where do they get that info from, I have no clue, but they're clearly a reliable source and they don't make stuff up.

By contrast, and AFAIK, those figures you mentioned were never confirmed to be released as PVC figures. PNSO makes lots of paleoart, not limited to PVC figures, and just because we see a model of a certain species by them doesn't necessarily imply it'll be released as a PVC figure later on.
