I personally find it impossible to be excited for any of the rumoured PNSO figures. Not until I see proper reveals.
Even if there's some truth to these rumours, I suspect models get started and scrapped behind-the-scenes all the time at PNSO. Wasn't there even a Brachiosaurus that leaked and was never released? That one got quite far before it was cancelled. Some or all of these rumoured figures could have been cancelled, if they even existed at all.
Until there's an offical reveal I don't believe any of this.

What a big guy! I like the green, but I have no space right now and I'm saving my money. I'll excitedly wait for in hand photos!

Big price for the big guy, but I guess it's reasonable.

The PNSO Edmontosaurus has exactly the same price, 49.99 USD, at Lana Time Shop. The Haolonggood Shantungosaurus is larger with 39 cm compared to 32.5 cm of the PNSO Edmontosaurus, but I would still say the PNSO is better.

I don't know if the size is accurate for Shantungosaurus, but it seems ok.
The head seems shrink wrapp as well.
I'm waiting for the Iguanodon before purchasing, I want to compare the colors.
There is also the Boundless World Shantungosaurus on the horizon, but if the pose is what we see on the teaser silhouet I'm not a big fan.

I see a bulk price relationship here, but I'm really happy to see Chad-tungosaurus finally here! I'm eager to getting a herd of all brands, but for now I will be getting for myself the Olive green one.
More appropriate to Wangshi group's paleoecology.

Nice looking chunky model. Price is adequate to size but not to sculpt / paint application when compared to similarly priced yet superior when it comes to details PNSO Edmontosaurus.

Fingers crossed for the Deinosuchus next. And I'm sure the colour options will once again be green or brown, but I'm okay with that.

I agree. They could totally have scrapped their lipped t rex for all we know. Just take each model as they come.

Quote from: Concavenator on June 26, 2025, 09:00:44 PMThe brown one resembles the brown Apatosaurus a lot. Man, at this point HLG's color schemes are so repetitive. Their figures would certainly benefit from more variety color-wise. I always used to rate HLG's color schemes over PNSO's but I'm not sure I agree anymore.

Not that I need a Shantungosaurus in my collection (I'd rather have an Edmontosaurus, which I already do) but still glad for all those who were waiting for one.

Now bring on the Iguanodon!

Or at least pattern variety. Pnso gets a lot flack for lots of brown figures but at least there seems to be some effort in mixing up the patterns instead of just dark splotches. Although I would like them to also experiment a little more with this as well.

Quote from: Concavenator on June 27, 2025, 12:34:13 AMavatar_Sim @Sim All I know is that Paleofiguras stated the figures I previously mentioned are indeed confirmed to be coming. Where do they get that info from, I have no clue, but they're clearly a reliable source and they don't make stuff up.

By contrast, and AFAIK, those figures you mentioned were never confirmed to be released as PVC figures. PNSO makes lots of paleoart, not limited to PVC figures, and just because we see a model of a certain species by them doesn't necessarily imply it'll be released as a PVC figure later on.
Thanks.  I wish there wasn't so much repetition among the planned figures, if PNSO is indeed making a Shantungosaurus that's three figure of it coming out at a similar time.  I'm also not a fan of the rumoured species, with the exception of Gigantoraptor I guess and the long-necked plesiosauroid said to be planned by PNSO.  I think it is indeed possible rumoured figures could be cancelled though.

If PNSO is indeed planning to release another Shantungosaurus (second, after their 2016 vinyl figure), I'll wait a bit before committing to the new HLG. Then again, I do have the old original one, and in a pinch it will do, at the very least till I can make the comparison.

I still think there's a good chance of getting a lipped T. rex, based on PNSO's history of releasing a new king tyrant roughly every two years. Here's hoping!

And getting back to Haolonggood, the only remaining known upcoming toy that I am excited for is Deinosuchus. No interest in Iguanodon or Giganotosaurus or whatever that big sauropod in the teaser is.

I still also want Bistahieversor, Dynamoterror, or Teratophoneus.

I'm thinking that the Hungarosaurus and Udanoceratops have most likely been cancelled by Haolonggood due to being too small. The Einiosaurus too. At the end of the day, a planned figure could be cancelled for a number of reasons. So, I'm not going to expect anything else to be coming at this point. Although Gigantoraptor from PNSO seems likely at this point due to PNSO saying they would like to make it. I also hope Haolonggood will produce Deinosuchus! If it comes in two colour schemes I guess they will be black and green. I can see myself getting both versions if their colourations are appealing enough to me!

Quiversaurus

They should release a set of "too small" species - Hungarosaurus, Udanoceratops, Einiosautus, KENTROSAURUS.

Maybe sell it at 49.99, I'm sure it'll get snapped up, and people can trade off the models they don't want...

I think the Hungarosaurus and the Udanoceratops were probably never planned to begin with, despite what HLG stated. IIRC, their "confirmation" came from a response they gave to some fan, which leads me to think they said that just to please the respective fans.

I recently saw a comment in which HLG officially stated that the Einiosaurus will be released sometime this year:

Plus, the Einiosaurus situation is different from the aforementioned two species' in that we already saw a WIP, and its confirmation didn't arise from some response to a fan. And if the Einiosaurus was discarded by virtue of being too small, then they wouldn't have put the Diabloceratops, Kosmoceratops or Chasmosaurus (for instance) for individual sale either, as they're similarly tiny.

If you guys don't wanna believe the rumours, you're free to, but stuff like this is worth remembering:

Quote from: Concavenator on March 12, 2024, 11:15:41 PMNot Safari, but PNSO Tyrannotitan is coming. We don't know when, but it is.  :(

And then...

Quote from: Ambre on May 29, 2024, 01:04:44 PMTyrannotitan

And...

Quote from: Concavenator on June 22, 2025, 01:50:12 PM- An updated Museum Line Spinosaurus was confirmed since at least August 2021 and ultimately ended up being released in December 2023 (after more than 2 years).

- An updated Museum Line Triceratops was confirmed since at least August 2021 and ultimately ended up being released in December 2021.

- Tyrannotitan and Baryonyx were confirmed since 2023 and ended up being released in 2024.

Rather than people not trusting these rumours, I think what I'm seeing here is impatience. That we don't see an Ichthyovenator, Mosasaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Gigantoraptor or Shantungosaurus being announced by PNSO tomorrow doesn't mean they won't be released at some point, and the aforementioned examples prove so.

(And BTW, I can only laugh at the notion of somebody actually believing PNSO won't be releasing a lipped T. rex sooner or later. Despite being something that hasn't happened as of now, it is so obvious it's almost a fact).

And the PNSO Guizhouichthyosaurus release may come across as random/unexpected, being their first non-dinosaur figure in 4 years. But you know what? Paleofiguras stated in May 2022 that PNSO was planning to release an ichthyosaur (therefore, not the Himalayasaurus, which was released in 2021):

Granted, they stated it'd be released under the Marine Museum series (same as the Kronosaurus), but as they also stated, initially the Tylosaurus was also planned to be released under the same line and ultimately ended up being released for the Prehistoric Animal Models line. The same could've happened to the Guizhouichthyosaurus. If so, we're seeing this figure after 3 years.

Notice how Paleofiguras brought up the Lingwulong as well, which ended up being released.

A plesiosaur is confirmed to be coming too. Considering they recently released two aquatic animals in a row (that dolphin and the Guizhouichthyosaurus), who knows, we might see them release some plesiosaur figure soon.
