Blade-of-the-Moon

Just picked up a bunch of the new toys for this movie, they are actually pretty awesome.  I found all of the main dragons aside from Barf and Belch and the twins.  I also found the Titan Red Death, they aren't kidding this thing could easily be a Monsterverse kaiju.

So far this target exclusive set seems to be the only way to get Hookfang.

Trenchcoated Rebbachisaur

Was considering getting some of these, but my girlfriend really disliked the way they did the wingjoints, so I decided against it. If Hookfang is indeed Target exclusive that's probably for the better too - don't think we even have Target over here, and being barred from completing the set would have been annoying as heck to me - even if I probably wouldn't have bothered anyway. Plus, he was always my favourite dragon character and I tend to enjoy the "Pseudo-Wyvern" (to use MonHun terminology) style of doing wings for four-limbed dragons.
Might make more sense skipping straight to Monster Hunter Merch in my case xP

Blade-of-the-Moon

The joints are pretty simple but not bad really, I have many other dragons that use something similar.

Hookfang seems exclusive at least for now, as is the Titan Red Death figure. I have to admit I really love the more traditional design for Hookfang myself.  I bought a couple other releases to get Fishlegs and the are a little different. The Target box release are hard plastic with no moving jaws while the others have the real feel rubbery wings and their mouths are hinged. I'm thinking there will be a series 2 soonish. There are a couple I'm looking for like the Skrill which is purple now?   They also showed the Terrible Terrors along with Barf and Belch at Toy Fair so there are more designs coming.

Not bad for four dragons and three humans.

Found Meatlug and Fishlegs and the Skrill today.

I think Meatlug in this set has a bobblehead feature going by a TF video.  I haven't opened mine yet, need room to do so. lol

Very tempting for that price. That said, man I got quite a bit on my wishlist to save up for. Maybe later in the year if I get the opportunity.

That design for the Skrill is so chunky compared to the original design for it. Kind of weird choice.

I thought it should be black but that's the color of the original toy from the animated series. Turns out Skrill are Purple-ish.  They also seem kinda thick too?

The mini set is pretty cool you get all the main dragons. My guess is this from the start of the film since only toothless is properly named?

Cretaceous Crab

I'm debating on getting the Gronckle. Reminds me of a fat little pitbull.  ^-^

Blade-of-the-Moon

Found Astrid and Stormfly, I think these are my last ones til the next wave or series.

I think the individual dragon/rider sets have more detail than the Target multipack. Can't wait for them release Hookfang and Snotlout individually.   This would be a great license for Papo to make really detailed figures for.

Red Death's new design reminds me of the illustration of the Abyssal from 'Barlowe's Inferno'.

I can when  I get around to opening them or  i could do the boxes side by side. They are certainly more in scale than the larger figures lol

If you look on Amazon UK they have an exclusive Red Death figure that swallows mini figures and untattered wings but no sound effects. It also comes with a mini toothless like the blind boxes here that would show the scale better.  The mini figure set toothless is slightly larger.
