Look! Even more stuff came in! I pu the photos in the Safari 2017 thread too, but they kind of beling here as well.

They just made it to Canada! The rest of the Safari dinosaurs!

Also, a few others made it as well--mako sharks, Kermode bears and Hoffman's sloths (who, admittedly, seem less at home on Badlands)!

Everything can be found here https://faunafigures.com/product-tag/safari2017/

Shonisaurus

Sbell you could get me the allosaurus Carnegie Safari model 1988 and 1989 model and the protoceratops with Carnegie Safari nest.

On the other hand I am interested in the ankylosaurus Bullyland Museum Line of 2005. If you get any of those figures do not hesitate to contact me. I am also interested in the nanshiungosaurus and cryolophosaurus of Battat Terra.

I would buy them by bank transfer. I am a reliable person. In fact I made transfers with two members of the forum.

This always takes longer than it should...but the new fish are now on the site!

Sorry...I just noticed this. Not sure how I missed it. Sorry, though, I don't have access to any of those.

I'm sorry, I haven't updated for a while, my bad.

But--the latest creation with Brandon!

Ornate bichir! new and improved Polypterus model!

They aren't on the site yet, I still need to prep them and such--but it's very exciting to have this species on offer! They're bigger than the first models, and I think it helped with some of the details! More soon!

HOLY -I used to have one of these, and his 2' body always came wriggling up so happily to see me!!! This struck such a nostalgia chord. When will they be available???

I'm hoping in a couple weeks. I want to do something nice for packaging, proper tagging, etc. I'll let people know when they're up.

I think I had mentioned before that with the help of Brandon DeMoss, FaunaFigures Fishes have been revived!

The first model is representative of the direction now--the models are a little bigger, and more detailed. And this first one, a revisit to Polypterus, really helps give the fish some real life!

As before, each one is hand-cast and hand-painted, so every single one looks a little different (this one in the photo is mine--it has a chipped first finlet, but the rest are good).

There are some on the site now--but the numbers will be limited. Instead of producing a few at a time, several times, we will do a modest size run, and then kind of move on (the next model is already in it's modelling stages, maybe casting...it's really cool!)

The figure is available https://faunafigures.com/product/faunafigures-fishes-ornate-bichir/

They now come in a little box, with a label! And a newly designed card--all bearing a new logo for the line!

Drawn by my niece from a photo of one of my bichirs...and reworked into a logo by my wife...it's a good thing I know talented people! But I did write out the card and site info!

And if you want to read more about the line, the fish, and why on earth I like bichirs...you can go https://faunafigures.com/faunafigures-fishes-are-back-and-a-personal-moment/ (a blog post on the store site...)

But more importantly...more pictures!

And to compare the original P. senegalus with the new P. orantipinnis:

Hope you like it!

PS--yes, this has been cross-posted with STS and ATF. Is it a Dinosaur toy? Kind of? It's bulky enough to pass for Bawitius with the right Spinosaurus or Suchomimus model...and they were around in the Cretaceous anyway!  ;D But don't worry--a prehistoric fish is coming. It will be big, it will be a species not done before (I think...) and it will be awesome! avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres has seen the initial sculpt already!

I know, right? I'm not sure if I can put up initial photos yet or not...of course, if people follow me or B @brandem on Twitter they'd have seen the photos already!

I just realized, as I'm messing with my site, that I hadn't updated here for bit.

So, a few changes since then.

1) The Asilisaurus by B @brandem is in store now (a while now, actually)! It's pretty cool, and kind of nice to have a pre-dinosaur model

2) Due to varying circumstances, I am scaling back what I can do. CoG are just too much for what I can invest, so I'm going to be sticking to small brands like Southlands (I'll have that Diprotodon as soon as I can, for example) as well as the models being done with Branden. Details here

3) For the next few days (until the end of the 27th, if the site works right :-\) anything not already on a clearance-price is also discounted. Did I mention the Asilisaurus? Yup, it's included (and very limited in stock). Same with the bichir. It's only good for current inventory, can't do rainchecks or backorders. Details here

Cheers!

What does CoG stand for?

Sorry, habit--Cost of Goods. Between postage and the exchanges, it is pretty much ridiculous now.

SBell

So as you may be aware, my store is kind of shrinking down to a few things, mainly some fish, and other things sculpted by B @brandem

Recently, the Protosphyraena was added https://faunafigures.com/product/faunafigures-fishes-obscurus-protosphyraena/

So now we have a plan for something...bigger.

I haven't made a secret of my fondness for weird prehistoric fish. And one of the most interesting places for those are the Kem Kem and Bahariya localities, with so many cool fish, just waiting to be eaten by spinosaurs and crocs.

So we though that a set of fish figures from the time and place would probably be a cool idea. One that roughly scales them near the sizes of the most common/popular figures currently out (the CollectA, Safari, Schleich, Favorite, etc). Knowing, of course, that they're all a little different in size and scale.

So since we are thinking big for this one...we want to know people's opinions.

We are thinking four of the larger fish (Mawsonia, Bawitius, Retodus and Concavotectu, maybe Lepidotes--fish that, at about 1:40, would still be big enough! But then, we want them on bases, potentially ones that fit together but not in a specific way, maybe allowing for interaction with at least some of the Spinosaurus models (and maybe including small sculpts of some of the smaller fishes that aren't big enough to stand alone.

But of course price is an issue. We would probably want to do them as a set. A normal Obscurus figure, like the Protoshpyraena or Asilisaurus, is sold on my site for about $20-$22 CDN; Brandon estimates that with four models, it would be a set that costs about $55 (I'm guessing he's thinking in USD, so about $75 CDN.

Is this reasonable? Do other people have suggestions for species or presentation? And is a Bahariya/KemKem set something people would want? They are of course hand crafted so the individual runs can be small, but I am curious about people's interest. Please tag me in responses! I'd set up a poll...if I knew how, or could...!

Cool!  I'm hoping we can get good support in advance. I know it's a pricier venture, but I think it'll be worth it.

Halichoeres

I replied to the corresponding thread on STS, but I think this thread would benefit from a bit more detail as well!

I'll add on more as I have it. B @brandem has gotten busier, so it's tougher to get a set together!
