I think it's in the process of being printed, and then we just have to wait for the casting and molding be completed (I think). I'm personally the most excited for the Spinosaurus, even though I'm not that much of Spino fan >:D

I'm also looking forward to the spino the most. There's a lot of spinos made now thanks to JP but most aren't that great or accurate. (I never liked the JP one) The last one I really liked was the sideshow version but that is much too expensive now and not as accurate it seems. Plus this one will go nicely with my 1/40 krentz rex.  :))

Oh yea, I have a Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum in the works too.  Most likely shapeways first.

D
Please, is it 1/40 at least?!  ;D ;D

From what I heard, all of the Shapeways models MIGHT have a 1:40 Resin counter part at some point.   I could be wrong though.

krentz

Yes, I am just waiting for a test print. I absolutely want the 1/40 Spino out before Christmas. It will probably be in the $100 range.  I excited to see it too.  I'll do a 1/72 version on Shapeways very soon, but it's probably going to be around a $60 or more range in the nicer materials.

Stunning work, mister Krentz!

I really looking forward to your Spinosaurus 1:40! I enjoy your t-rex 1-40 verry much and i finally had some time to paint it up. I should poste some pictures here some day soon. You are one of my favorite artist and i am gonne collect every piece of your Saurozic Collection eventually. I fully understand your opinion on not uploading your models in the 1:40 scale on shapeways and I thank u for protecting me for les quality for more money!

Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum 1:40 scale, o may, I must buy for me!

Keep up the good work, Cheers

They're so chibi ;D

So, Stegosaurus didn't have claws on its front feet? When was this decided? :)

Blade-of-the-Moon

Last I heard, when constructing my Kentrosaurus early this year, they had claws but only on the inside toes if I recall correctly ?

krentz

Yes Blade

That render of the Steg was done before I adjusted the front legs and added unguals.  Good catch.  I should post a more updated version.

Those chubbies are great, also the Spinosaurus and the Therizinosaurus. Your work is a source of constant inspiration and makes me want to learn Zbrush. I will need a lot of strength, because every time I use Zbrush I end up a bit frustrated XD

Thank you!!  It's mainly a matter of the pipeline I use. Something like 3dsMax (basemesh) >> Mudbox (basic detailing) >> 3dsMax (retopo and uvs) >> Mudbox (detailing) >> 3dsMax (posing)....  With Zbrush is easier to build a basemesh and you can almost do all the work without any other software. My pipeline is more appropriate for animation.
