Finally - after 17 years, a PROPER JP Spinosaurus figure!!!  ;D ;D  (Glad I'm out of that collecting market - or else I'd be in BIG trouble with my wife ... the "New JP Toy Universe" looks pretty darned awesome!!)

So you only collect deluxe premium figures like Vitae, Eofauna or PNSO?  :)

Dilopho

Obviously I wouldn't put it on that level, but this figure is certainly deluxe. It's absolutely massive for an action figure.

Yes.  And large scale vinyls that I can kitbash.  I've owned every single JP toy from the first 3 movies at one time or another, but with my kids being grown, and my relatives' kids having mostly grown up, I have no reason to collect them any longer.  So back in 2014 I liquidated about 90% of my collection.  Now I'm much more selective. (But I have - UNBUILT - every single old Horizon JP vinyl figure and most of the Kaiyodo Dinoland 1/20 vinyls.  I've built them all up several times in the past - eventually sold or gave them away - the ones in my closet are my future retirement builds ... but that's at least a decade in the future, God-Willing ... and when I do, yes, they will be HEAVILY "kit-bashed", building on my several decades of experience in hobby modeling....)

Yes, the wooden Liopleurodon is really cool. shame for those broken flippers.
I think you just lost it paying that much for the Plastic Marx Kronosaurus.
But, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about - so, congrats on that one too ... :)

Little tardy on the response, but... I know it seems like an outrageous sum. But consider this: I've driven out to West Virginia three times just to SEE this figure. Thousands of miles traveled... a conservative estimate would be 300 on gas each time, so to get own it myself forever for 2/3 of that was a dream come true. The museum proprietor actually told me the last time I visited back in April that he would never sell the Krono by itself. He wanted to sell the whole lot of test shots all together... for $3,400. I'll probably never have that kind of money, so I was pretty crestfallen. After I won the auction he told me that the other person who bid on it was the guy who won the test shot Bronto and T-rex. I bet that poor collector was livid. 😬

I finally got the Carnegie Euplocephalus. I've been looking for him ever since I started collecting.  :))

Awesome. I like your quality over quantity approach. I'm sure that kit-bashing/hobby modeling experience comes in hand with models or toys that are almost there.

Well done!  It's such a good feeling to chase something down!

I'm happy for you the euoplocephalus was one of my first dinosaurs that I bought from the Carnegie brand almost twenty-five years ago.  :)

Well - it DID (past tense) as you can see on my web gallery (linked below).  I don't have the time or inclination to dabble in small projects any longer .... "bigger fish to fry" these days ... ;)

Fembrogon

I grabbed three more JWFK Legacy figures today:

I was starting to desire the Pachy, and I was warming up to the raptor; and then the Pteranodon was there and I thought, "Why not?"

Dilopho

So, what do you think of them? ^^

So much money,  so much passion!  Respect,  BlueKrono!  I still gladly remember your well written story about the robin Marx Kronosaurus.

BlueKrono

So much money for toys, so much the less for food. >.< I think most people would be surprised how little I actually make from my job and what percentage goes into my collections. I was considering writing a sequel to my Marx story about my trip this past spring. It was almost as exciting - quite an odyssey all told.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH. It's absolutely gorgeous. And even though the materials aren't top-notch, the sculpt is worthy of any collector that has a remote interest in Tyrannosaurus.
I have the Smoke Green variant, and I couldn't resist it when I saw it. Even moreso than the beautiful tiger-striped variant.
The joints seem really tight, so I'm probably not going to pivot the articulation points, but I already have it in my favorite standing position, so it's perfect.

It is by far my favorite rex in terms of purely aesthetics.

Shonisaurus

I'm glad avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar  you received the tyrannosaurus rex from Kaiyodo (mine unfortunately are still held in customs since last July 6).

How I would like to have these figures in my hands.

Very nice! I suppose you must have gotten them from Monster House. They wanted to charge $56 to ship them, almost as much as the figures themselves, so I haven't pulled the trigger and am waiting for MiniZoo to stock them.

At least that's why I only ordered these two O:-) .
I know it's crazy, but the figures had grown on me and I couldn't wait.

I definitely understand that impulse. I can enjoy them through your photos in the meantime!

Very interesting, and very neat figures! Both unique species, I presume?  :)
