That would be cool if I had a sino ready to photograph, but unfortunately I don't have one of my own and the mold needs to be reworked, meh, someday soon maybe I can get that shot but to let you know dilo is a bit longer and more gracile,

I didn't mention I guess dilo is 1:20 as well

Takama

Lovly Work on this one.   Makes me wish i could afford to have you do large scale Theropods like this. But i just dont have the room for models of this size. Thats why i choose 1:50 for my line.

It will be interesting to see what else you have in the pipline

Yutyrannus

Very cool! I think I will probably end up buying this one sometime soon (hopefully) :).

DinoLord

Patrx

Brilliant model! I like the paint work as well :)

Very cool--is that why I haven't heard back from you  >:(

Paleogene Pals

That's looking pretty dang good! I can take a side-by-side picture with the Sino when I get the dilo model. Thanks again Brandem!

That would be great, I like to think my sculpting improves just a little with each model too,

By the way, straw pole I was thinking about selling him for 80 complete and 40 as a model set, what do you guys think?

Kayakasaurus

Very nice dilophosaurus there! What method did you use to sculpt the scales?

Hey good question, I sculpted these scales with the aid of a very smal flathead screwdriver

Yeah the mold was silicon, specifically mold star 20t this time

Kayakasaurus

A screwdriver? That sounds interesting. Did you use the same technique on the lower jaw as well? What brand of clay did you use to make the mold with? Those platinum cure silicones can be tricky. Dragon skin drove me crazy! :o

Can't say I've ever used dragon skin but I've never had a problem with most of the 1:1 mix ration molds,

That's good. So what clay did you use in the mold making process? Or do you do it a different way?

I don't usually do 2 part molds, I usually use block molds as detailed in this tutorial http://www.smooth-on.com/gallery.php?galleryid=315
