Nice you share new pics, and such beautiful ones! Cool herd you have assembled. And the issue of figures moving out of a single shelf is nothng new to me ;-)

brontodocus

Very impressive collection! :) And I like your newly acquired Jasman Gallimimus, I didn't even know it existed.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a T-rex by Krentz? My friends all have Sideshow, I must make amends.

I like how you put Godzilla with the theropods ^-^

He is the Bullyland Apatosaurus. Beautiful isn't he? One of my favorite sauropod figures.  ^-^
Indeed, well sculpted and painted, thanks for sharing the piece with us. A moment of envy is in order.

I have to admit, I've had a lot of envious moments looking in your thread, as well as so many other collections on the forum. I'm still pretty new at this and my dinosaur budget is really low (it has to be) but the collection moves onward.
I really do not consider myself having that much of a collection, and I am stunned how far behind the ball I am compared to other collectors. You definitely have the size advantage on herd strength so to speak. If I quit buying eggs, eggshells, fossil bones, teeth and entire dinosaur skeletons I might just be able to get a few replicas myself. Amazing display of dinosaurs you have, and nothing to feel any less than complete pride in.Is the one I like so well the one that was discontinued or is it still offered commericially?

Well if I could put down the cash for them I would have more fossils than toys too. I do have a fossil collection as well but it is pretty sparse. The only material I have from dinosaurs is an egg shell and bone fragment.  Your collection is fine, there is something to be said for quality over quantity. As for the Apatosaurus, I believe it is discontinued. You can buy one on eBay for  U.S. $40.00 with free shipping. You could probably find it cheaper with some patience. I got mine from a forum member but  I can't remember who.

That is correct!

Pretty cool isn't it? There aren't enough Ornithomimid toys out there IMO. I hope to write a review for that Jasmen soon.

He had to go somewhere right?

Thanks everyone for the kind words and for stopping buy.  ^-^

Coo :)l. Cant wait to see it if it does happen.

Got this 3' 1:10 Tyrannosaurus skeleton from Darko. It really ties this collection together. I told my wife that this turns my dinosaur toy collection into a dinosaur monument.

Ah shoot he sold it!!!!!!

oh well

Congrats,

Sorry about that. I saw it listed and just knew I had to have it.

Gwangi

So after dismantling my coelurosaur shelf only a couple weeks ago I had to do it again today. It was worth it. I am constantly keeping an eye out for dinosaurs in second hand stores, antique shops and basically any place that could have them. Usually I don't find anything. Today I went to an antique/collectable store and right inside the door they had a shelf of animal toys. The only dinosaurs were a few Marx knock-offs, you know the ones. Anyway I was like "oh look, dinosaurs" and carried on not expecting to find much. Well, it looks like my searching payed off. Locked behind glass I found the 1993 Kenner Tyrannosaurus or "Big Red". She was marked for $40 which I knew was a deal considering 1) I've never seen one and 2) All the ones on eBay are at least forty plus shipping. Still though, I'm poor, I wanted to pay less. After asking the guy behind the counter and a couple of phone calls to his employer later, he said he could go down to $30. SOLD! The fellow took her out of her prison and placed her on the counter. My wife asked if I wanted to check it over and I immediately said "nope" but decided it best. "Big Red" looked great with only some slight teeth marks on a finger, I turned to my wife and said "I wonder if it works", upon pushing her button she let out her mighty(ish) roar and I was ecstatic. Not only was she in great shape but she worked too!
I know, long story right. Well I've been looking around for a JP T. rex (Big Red, Thrasher and/or The Bull) since I started collecting expecting I would end up paying for one on eBay. Not only was I able to actually find her somewhere other than a computer but she was in great shape, worked and was cheap! It is great to find a toy dinosaur and have a story behind it besides "I outbid someone."

With a few other new additions.

Looking over her new domain.

Home at last.

Jetoar

Congratulations for your big red. I understand you. Jurassic Parks T-rex are expensieve in general. Before the last summer i bougth a lot of Jurassic Park dinosaurs to cheap: I expend 25 euros season one Stegosaurus, Velociraptor, Pteranodon, Dimetrodon, green Coelophisys and big red T-Rex.

I look forward to see a cheap Bull T-Rex because it did not arrive to Spain but I have not found a cheap bull in Ebay  :-\.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Nice score Gwangi!  Big Red goes great with that rex skeleton.

Oh and it looks like you got my little Pachyrhino too! :)

Yes I did, a couple days ago. I meant to send you a PM but it passed my mind. I did make sure to leave positive feedback for you though.  ^-^

Jetoar, The Bull is one I really want too but the one I covet the most is The Thrasher. If I can find either for a good price I'll be very happy but until then at least I have Big Red.

Gwangi

Mostly Christmas stuff in this post, some that I bought for myself. Every year I get Christmas money from my mother that she reminds me "is not for bills but for you to spend on yourself." I'm not one to anger my mother.  ^-^

First off are some non-toys. The three movies and eagle book I bought for myself (the eagle book counts as dinosaur related). The puzzle, stickers and pterosaur magnet are all from friends. The JP shirt was from my wife, something to wear to the 20th anniversary 3D release of the film.

My wife knows me well, she got me the Papo Styracosaurus. My friends don't know me as well but at least they tried, one of them got me the Schleich Velociraptor.

I knew I would end up buying at least one dinosaur with my Christmas money but was really torn. Do I buy a lot of smaller cheap toys or one big expensive guy? I chose the big guy, the Papo Brachiosaurus. It represents the most I've paid for any individual toy and is not something I would normally buy myself but hey...it was the holidays. It stands here next to another recent acquisition, the Kabaya "Seismosaurus" that I got back in October. I got the Brachiosaurus from Dejankin's. It was my first purchase from them and they were great to work with. I did a lot of comparison shopping and he had the Brachiosaurus for the cheapest price I could find.

Also I went ahead and got the set of six micro tiere Bullyland toys. Very cheap little toys and pretty decent, also through Dejankin's.

Takama

Congrats on your Additions.

Yeah, DeJankins does have cheaper then normal prices,   and he is a real nice guy as well..   He even gives you time to work up the payments :)

You should definitely shop from him again sometime.

Yeah, he didn't expect me to pay until the package got to me. I've never seen that before. I'll be shopping with him again sometime I'm sure.

Russian artists Vadim Gorbatov. I'm not surprised that picture caught your eye, it looks like something that might. There is actually a fair amount of eagle art in the book.

One of my favorites was this one by Archibald Thorburn.
