I still haven't seen a member that I think is Killekor.  I've sent Killekor a PM in which I've let him know there are people on this forum that hope he will come back.

I don't think he has a fake account. Finesse and restraint aren't traits I believe he possesses based on months of reading his posts. Certain folks on the forum whose native language isn't English also have specific ways of expressing themselves, recurring grammatical errors, etc. that make them identifiable even if your tiny screen doesn't show their avatar off to the left. His were quite distinctive.

That sounds like a strange story from the mid 1970s. Although there's one thing you must do. Look for brightly colored repaints and rainbow paintings.

Yes, and that's why I think there's a member who isn't Killekor who currently has more than one account, even if the earlier account may no longer be used.

I can only think of two members who I could identify based on the distinct way they express themselves, one of them being Killekor.

If you have a suspicion that somebody is using a fake account, you should report it to a moderator.

Having suspicions, and having facts are two different things. I suspect....that is all. Backseat moderating is never particularly helpful either....I believe Dr Admin has a good eye for that sort of thing as well

No problem guys, Sim wasn't referring to Killekor, he was alluding to me. He already had to say something along those lines in another thread. I think that's enough to feel uncomfortable for me. But that's ok, I can live with that.

Mods and Admins can check and compare IPs, which is pretty much the only proof one could hope for. Members don´t have that option, so all they´ll ever have are suspicions.
People are already publicly expressing their suspicions about other members breaking the forum rules without any facts, which I don´t think is a cool thing to do. Why start rumors instead of asking somebody to check it out privately?

A shared email address could also be proof, but a person can have more than one email address and IPs can change.  I wouldn't normally express thinking someone is a previous user with more than one account, and I wouldn't express it unless I was almost certain it's the case.  Who I'm thinking of in this case is Charlie P. who behaved in a distinctive way including replacing all the content of their posts as well as their username to indicate they were "deleted": http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1784  After that, a member called Charlie 2.0 joined who behaved in the same distinctive way, they too replacing all the content of their posts as well as their username to indicate they were "deleted".  It seems clear to me they were the same person.  Now, there is another member who behaves in the same distinctive way and posts about the same things.  I feel uncomfortable about this whole thing as at this point I feel there is manipulation going on from Charlie's behaviour.  I did ask to have it checked out privately, but I got no response regarding this.

You didn't reply to that, but you had the option to.  If you aren't the same person as Charlie P. and Charlie 2.0, why not say so?  You've had at least two opportunities to do that now.  At the time of the above quote I was only curious if you were the same person as Charlie - someone who I had talked with on this forum and someone who I didn't want to see removing all the content of their posts again.  If you are the same person, I respect if you don't want to say why the Charlie P./Charlie 2.0 "deleting" happened, but the remaining "[deleted user]" account (the account that was originally Charlie P.) would mean two accounts for the same person so it seems to me that one should probably be deleted.

Frankly it sounds to me like some members are in withdrawal now that his garish blue-red repaints aren't popping up all over the place.

Indeed, and apart from reporting potentially suspicious posts, I suggest a refrain from speculating about duplicate accounts "out loud", so to speak. Otherwise, we run the risk generating gossip or even attacking new members.

Seconded. It's none of my business who joins or posts on the forum, but I'd personally prefer a smaller number of relevant posts that are respectful of other forum members over a large volume of off-topic, spammy posts that get in the way of continued discussion.

I agree. Especially those posts that only are shameless self promotion and where the only text is a link to another thread.

1706 members by now. Of these are about 400 interested in longer,  deeper discussions and sharing their Passion.  The other 1300 come here for a single question, or they lose interest after 25 or so posts. Or they compete for attention, which is okay by me. There is a thin line between this competition for attention and an interest in productive discussions.
