I'm largely indifferent on this, yes banning him is over the top, but he also hasn't yet stopped repeating behavior he was warned for and something more serious might be in order. Is it possible to temporarily block someone from specific forum sections instead of a full temporary ban? This could perhaps give him the opportunity to reflect and observe for a few weeks before returning to the more hectic sections, without being completely unwelcoming.

I like Killekor's enthusiasm actually. I wish more young people like him were more interested and passionate about dinosaur figures. I think in due time he'll be less "spammy" about his posts. He loves dino toys and wants them all, as he said. He's just being honest... nothing really bad with that.

Okay, unpopular opinion here I guess, but I think there should be consequences when someone breaks forum rules. It doesn't have to be a permanent ban - one day or one week bans can be an effective reprimand, and I know this type of consequence has been used against other forum members who have broken a rule before. Killekor is no longer a new member on here (nor am I). He's surely gotten a feel for the purpose for which this forum is to be used and he repeatedly breaks the rules, even after numerous warnings from the admin and other members. You can chalk it up to exuberance or youthful naivety, but honestly, I wasn't that annoying online when I was 12. We have many valued members here that are young teenagers, and they don't do any these undesirable things. If you can comment in an online forum you're old enough to respect the rules set out very clearly by that forum, especially when those rules are presented to you when you break them.

Forum members shouldn't have to read "WOOOOOWWW!!!!! I want it NOW!!!!" and "LOL!!!!" on four different posts a day. If you're going to comment on something, have it be something of substance. What do you like about the figure? What do you have to say about it? Overcapitalized exclamations are annoying and pointless... and I'm not even going to get into the cross-posting issue. All I'm saying is if this behavior continues there should be punishments (my recommendation being temporary bans). Killekor has done nothing to warrant a permanent ban as far as I'm concerned, and we do want to keep this an open and welcoming community. I just think the admins have better things to do with their time than play  C:-) every day. And I'm glad to see this issue being addressed where it belongs, rather than the New dinotoyblog entries thread.

Honestly, I dont see anything wrong with his posts
Like the Following

"WOW I WANT IT"

As long as he is not saying anything OVERLY OFFESEIVE Like

"WOW WHAT A PIECE OF ****"
and I know that Kids can get vaulger in this day and age.

I dont think he should be punnished.    I never grew botherd by his posts, and i cant understand how any one could. when they simply can scroll on past them. If the Admins feel it is a problem then let them deal with it.

Just my few cents,

..well, most of Killekor's posts are useless but not offensive; he broke the rules sometimes and Admin advised him..
Only Admin or Moderators will decide what to do if he'll break the rules again.
On my point of view, I don't have any problem with Killekor.
Obviously, he can't break the rules again.

IMO, there are more annoying members of the forum than Killekor (thankfully just very few), the toxic ones who post nothing but the negative aspects of just about anything (sometimes imaginary) posted in the boards.

i used to get really irked at Killekor's nonsense posts before, now i just chuckle whenever i read them and just move along.  ;)

I tend to agree with BlueKrono. 12 years old is plenty old enough to understand and abide by clearly stated rules. We can be a friendly and open community while still maintaining fair rules and occasionally administering consequences.

Like, where do we draw the line on this one? Whenever photos of a new figure are released there always are quite a few posts that basically just say: "I want it" or "I don´t want it". Granted, Killekor´s posts are on the less eloquent side of the spectrum, but he´s young and english is not his first language. Maybe he uses the capitalisation to express an intense desire he can´t put into words.

Honestly, posts that boil down to: "Schleich is inaccurate/Rebor is rude" are more annoying to me. They not only don´t add anything of value to a discussion, but they are also used as blanket statements to put down companies and their fans. Don´t get me wrong, pointing out inaccuracies is fine, simply stating that they are inaccurate (to me) is not.

Also, I´m not a huge fan of campaigning for punishments of specific users in this thread, I believe Dr Admin´s warnings should suffice and whether or not someone should be banned is ultimately up to him.

I agree. It is ultimately up to the discretion of the admin as to what punishment to institute, and indeed, he selected a different one than either of my two suggestions when Killekor proceeded to break the rules yet again this morning. As with anything on this forum, anything I post is just my personal two cents. Again contrary to what seems to be the prevailing opinion, I actually appreciate the complaints and expressions of dislike here on the forum just as much as the positives. They help educate me on the public perception of companies and the grievances collectors have with figures that I was previously completely ignorant of. Before I joined the forum I had no clue that anyone might denigrate a figure for a pronated wrist or lack of feathers, and I had no inkling of what anyone but myself thought of any particular company (my own opinion was mainly based on what species they put out). So positive or negative, encouraging or critical, I appreciate peoples' posts on this forum as long as they are something of substance. Learning the preferences of my fellow dino toy collectors is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to this forum day after day.

I'm glad that eventually the admin addressed the situation of Killekor. I was never annoyed in the slightest by his posts, so I would have never banned him, but if he actually broke any rule it must be fair he's got a ban, I suppose.

I hope that now we can draw a line and move on, because it felt quite an unpleasant situation to be honest. Not only for some forum members, but I guess for people who are not part of the community and simply read the forum. And most of all for the kid himself, who might have felt kind of singled-out.

I hope that after the temporary ban he'll come back with the same positive mood and won't be affected in any way by the general sentiment. If he felt discouraged in taking part in the forum again I would understand him though, and it would be sad and not exactly an edifying thing for the community considering he's just a kid.

Being a forum admin myself I can tell you, "Hell, there's trolls and idiots out there with not a pinch of manners or sense of decency".... from what I read from Killekor, he's not such one.
