Daily Pics on DTF

..it's time for an Allosaurus update and parade ..

First of all a recently added figure: Shane Foulkes 1:15 model (painted by Viltali Klatt) / a really big figure..  ;)

The Kaiyodo Dinotales 1:20 by Matsumura Shinobu : another large model

The resin Favorite Desktop Model at 1:40

..and the similar Favorite Softmodel (series 1)

The revisited Favorite Softmodel (series 2) in the typical style by Kazunari Araki

The Colorata Dino Jurassic Vol. 3 figure

The Safari LTD small but nice version (with a bad green paint scheme..  ::) )

BBC Walking with Dinosaur did a new representation for this animal: Toyway WWD original collection

..while the Schleich Replicasurus line followed the WWD way in a bigger scale..

From PNSO, the Mini version

..and then the "awesomebro" figures..

The King of Awesomebro: Papo ; it's like a walking crocodile, more a movie-monster than a real animal..  ???

The recent Mojo Fun figure followed the same way: soft plastic, bad details, balancing issues... more toy than figure.. a complete disaster..  :-[

And then the Retrosaurus parade.  8)

The classic Bullyland : a late '80/ first '90 years representation of the animal..

Another classic: Carnegie by Safari.

..but the older grey coloration is way better..

..while the first Carnegie figure is much more late 70' years style..

The older Schleich seems to be taken directly from a 1940' b-movie (and I like it very much for that  ;) )

Shonisaurus

Nice collection of allosaurus Robin, and I congratulate you but you need the version of Recur.  :)

(...) but you need the version of Recur.  :)

Hello Shonisaurus,
Recur makes a little bunch of decent prehistoric figures that I already have ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/130140542@N03/albums/72157668224836602 ).
The rest of Recur's models are terrible with a lot of really ugly ones  :-[ .
The Recur Allosaurus is just awful.
It could be ok for a collector to be a completist but an ugly figure remains an ugly figure..
And Recur is not even an highly collectible line.
They are just bad toys for young kids (with some decent exception).
For sure I won't add those things to my collection, I'm quite sure.
Sorry...
Regards
:)

Shonisaurus

Do not worry, Robin, you're right in your collections I appreciate that you are very pleased, and you have done well not to buy the allosaurus Recur. I bought it from Miron's urzeitshop.de store, but honestly this figure does not honor the dinosaur. In my case I bought it for pure completism, it is reality.  :)

..just another preview..

I bought this unusual figure on Ebay and I'm still waiting to receive it..

It's a Labyrinthodont (AKA Mastodonsaurus torvus ), sculpted by a guy called Nikolay Abramovich from Russia.
The figure is casted in porcelain  :o

That's some pictures:

What do you think ?
Do you know the artist ?

Any info appreciated  O:-)

:)

Lanthanotus

Nice pics as usual :)

For the porcelain figure, I do not know much, just that that same artist also made a porcelain diplodocus (white and brown) which I considered to buy but refrained because... well, it's porcelain. Unlike that Mastodonsaurus that looks very reminiscent of the Bullyland (but in fact, that looks much like the Burian art work) the diplodocus was nothing like a figure I know and due to the limits of the material did not look as detailed as that Mastodonsaurus.

Shonisaurus

The porcelain mastodonsaurus looks a lot like its Bullyland counterpart.

RobinGoodfellow

..well, to be honest, it doesn't seem to me that it looks like the Bullyland one at all..  ???

Sincerely you are right, anyway the mantodonsaurus look like they belong to a well-known amphibian animal (at least that's what I suppose) in the paleontological record and that is perhaps why all the paleoartistic representations resemble each other.

RobinGoodfellow

..just a preview (sorry, I'm quite busy to take new pictures right now  :-[ )

On this thread soon.. stay tuned  ;)

Jose S.M.

Great assortment of figures! That huge elephant is beautiful.

Shonisaurus

Beautiful sets, especially the Favorite, Schleich dinosaurs and the very rare Bullyland, apart from the styracosaurus of the Sega brand, is a gift for the eyes.

Nimravus

Congrats RobinGoodfellow's your collection is outstanding! And pictures first class as usual!
