A quick note of my experience of Jurassic World

Hey guys! About a month ago, I joined my brother as he began his studying abroad opportunity in France. We traveled throughout Europe, not to mention a few days layover in Iceland. I will be leaving for Texas tomorrow and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here (the food will be missed above all). To my surprise, I was able to catch the midnight premier of Jurassic World, my brother having presented me with the tickets minutes before we had to leave for good seating. Having grown up watching the trilogy over and over (as we all have), and to witness the progression of the films and the new direction in which they are heading- well, I began tearing up a bit during the movie. This has been one of the greatest nights of my life. I hope you all love the movie as much as I did.

I will say this: the movie's ending solidified its place as my favorite movie of all time, surpassing Jurassic Park. Well, it's late here and I can tell my writing is becoming a bit hasty, so goodnight guys!

Try not to cry.  :)

We watched it already, just a few hours ago.  The 3D effect here seems to be not that perfect.

It was fine in our opinion, but my 5 year old likes Jurassic World better than the first three.

I'd to know the basic summary of the movie before I fork out the money to see it. Can you PM me the ending?

The summary is: Scientists have finally opened a public Jurassic Park, renamed Jurassic World, for all the world to see. But when the park staff wants to add an extra kick to the dinosaurs, they create a genetically modified hybrid beast! When this beast escapes, it sets free other dinosaurs in the park, and all heck breaks loose!

EDIT: Sorry, I think I misread the tone of alexaceratops' post. I know the basic summary. I just want to know some details about the ending. Namely, what role the T. rex plays.

Movie was cool, the first is still the best IMO. But its better than TLW and JPIII. (spoiler deleted)

Since the thread title says no spoilers I thought I wouldn't see spoilers in here.  :(  The spoiler details sound interesting I guess.

I've turned this into a Jurassic World thread, where spoilers are allowed.

Did anyone else see the Thrasher Trex toy in the movie?

Questions for those of you who have seen it:
-Any mention of Isla Sorna?
-Any mention of feathers?
-Any sequel hook?

I'll be seeing it on friday night.  From what I've read, it was not shot with 3D cameras, it was shot 2D and converted afterwards.  Cheaper to do and not as good looking.

So a friend of mine told me what happens at the climax. I totally called it.

I guess I'll end up seeing this film, especially since a friend has been begging me to go with her and her sister. I shall have to do my best not to groan too much at all those pseudosaurs.

I apologize if this thread revealed too much before the title was changed- I didn't create the thread for any other reason other than sharing my personal enjoyment of the film. This thread's purpose may be a bit redundant now.

I have to say I am a bit disappointed with the lack of supporters excited to see the film, especially on DTF. For those on the fence, I promise you will be satisfied at the least.

I guess I can say it now. When T. rex destroyed the Spinosaurus skeleton display, I began clapping, along with a surprising number of others in the theatre. An obvious answer to the 14 years of complaints by the entire JP fan base.

TBH I totally hated how the final blow was dealt in the rumors but now that I know it is going to be well-executed I think it's awesome, just like  rexy in the climax of the original film, it will come out of seemingly nowhere. Only 23 more hours to go! I honestly thought this movie would never happen, but life... uh, finds a way

Yes to the hook. I do not remember the others mentioned, although they may have been.  ;)

This film in particular is pretty open about reiterating the lack of realism of the animals. There is even a scene during which Dr.Wu mentions that without the use of filler DNA, the animals would look very different. For me, inaccuracies don't bother me in the least. I wouldn't want the series to consider changing a thing!

Thank you Pachy. That gif made my night. Wait until you see the final shot of the movie.  ;D Bring tissues and perhaps underwear.

No mention of Isla Sorna, or I might have missed it.

Feathers were not mentioned, but a crow, I think, was featured in the beginning, indirectly suggesting that dinosaurs, velociraptors in particular, became birds.

Yes,  there seems to be a hook, but it seems the TRex here became intelligent and friendly, maybe because she is accustomed to seeing people, but she did not attack Blue (was that Blue? ).

I believe it was blue.

A word of warning to any parents planning to take their kids: this movie is pretty gruesome, far more so than the previous 3 in my opinion. My brother and I were shocked by how graphic some of the (many) deaths were. Granted we were loving it at the same time.
