Pachyrhinosaurus

It looks like they did the same thing with the dimorphodon as the dilophosaurus and modified a rex's head.
Also, it looks like we're finally getting a good official sculpt of the Indominus. I only wish Blue were included.

The mosasaur actually does have a fluke,  its not especially prominent but its there (more so in the film than in the promotional pictures).

The gallimimus arms don't come out of their necks. That was only on a weird angle and the screen shot went viral. If you look at the original scene from the first film some of the gallimimus also appeared to have neck arms.

Amargasaurus I hope you find this interesting,  recently conclusive prof that at least some pachycephalosaurs did butt heads has been published.  I wish I could remember the name of the paper, but in summary dents in the skull that could only have been made by another of the same species skull. I was really surprised to be honest,  I was always skeptical of head butting!

Shame you dont have a citation for that, I would love to see what the paper or article says....just when you thought it was safe to go back in the Pachy cage!!!

Adding to the inaccuracies others pointed out, both the Pteranodon and Dimorphodon's heads are inaccurate.  Thankfully they're not as bad as the JP3 Pteranodon heads, those were so bad.

Pteranodon's beak is really long and curves upwards.  The Pteranodon in JW have a beak that's basically straight with no upward curve, looks like a bird's beak and isn't long enough.  Pteranodon actually have a very distinctive beak (and head)!

The Dimorphodon in JW have a snout that's too short and teeth that aren't like what's on real Dimorphodon skulls.  Compare the heads of a Dimorphodon skeleton and a JW Dimorphodon:

Oh okay, I'll do Pterandon too:

Well, the Triceratops doesn't have quills, which were probably on many ceretopsians.
[/quote]The filaments you're thinking of are only known on Psittacosaurus.  There's nothing that suggests other ceratopsians had them, especially since evidence points towards Psittacosaurus not evolving into any of the other known ceratopsians.  So the Triceratops in Jurassic World not having filaments isn't an inaccuracy.

Thanks so much for getting this and pointing it out...I think it is fast becoming a pet peeve of my own.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I listened to it again last yesterday, still can't tell exactly what the monorail guide says as they near the gate and pass through. It does sound like he says this gate is made from the old one though...I just wonder if it was moved there, and they used the whole gate and stuck new lettering on it? Or it was left in place and used?

sauroid

are there any talks about a sequel already? do you guys have any links?

Many are saying a sequel might be announced at Comic Con. It will need a new director though.

The only other thing I thought wasn't quite as good as I had hoped was the music. It served the action scenes well enough. But every time one of John Williams' grand themes came on, you just knew how much better they were. I left the theatre not being able to hum back any new themes of music. So, that was a little disappointing for me, being a musician.

I actually think the score was rather well done.  It did have some really nice, yet subtle themes, but just like the rest of the movie, Michael Giacchino continued to show reverence to the original Jurassic Park by reverting to the original score.  In fact, there is even a small snippet of the JPLW theme built into one of the songs.

CityRaptor

It probably has to do with the fact that Michael Giacchino already worked with the JP franchise before and that he did the score for the TLW Playstation Game.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Interesting, I did not know that.

CityRaptor

Yes, it's pretty interesting. There was an official soundtrack for that game released.

Just saw it with my best friend! I wasn't disappointed! Cool movie! Really liked it! Especially the ending and the JP I references.

Giacchino did a good job, but I still think of Williams' score when I think of dinosaurs.  And the Lost World theme was heard when Blue charged Indominus and distracted her so Rexy could get back up.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

I do think Giacchino did a good enough job. There just weren't any new grand themes that I thought stood out. I'm glad he did incorporate some of Williams' recognizable themes. But there were a couple spots I thought he could've also inserted them. Off the top of my head, the one I remember right now was when the T. rex burst through the Spino skeleton for the climactic end battle and saves the day. It would've been cool to use the same theme from JP when he burst onto the end scene and grabbed the raptor. :D

I need to see the movie again! Gotta say my favorite scene was when the T.rex is lured out of its cage.
