I contacted them last year and they came out in July , see here :

I plan to try to get them out here again..maybe in April/May with the lure of the T-Rex ... ;)

You'd be more than welcome to visit us ! All DTFers are more than welcome to come and see this place when they can. :)  Let me know when you can come and I can point out the places to eat, other local attractions and such.

How far are you from Nashville? I don't live there, but its the closest I'll probably be to your park in the future.

About 4 hours on I-40 .  You'd also be close to Cave City, Kentucky where Dinosaur World is.

Your 280 miles from Cave City.  You seem to be in the middle of nowhere.  I'm planning on taking I-65 to Sarasota in a couple of days.  Unfortunately I think your too far out of my way.  I would like to see your park someday.

I think he means you're close to cave city from nashville, about an hour away, and dinosaur world is nice but blades work tends towards the more scientifically proportionate.

That's exactly what I was trying to say, if you were in the mood to hit another Dinosaur based attraction while nearby.

I went there this time several years back..the dinos were neat with snow all over them and the mammoths which were new then were excellent.

I am a bit out in the country..which I've heard many from nearby cities say they appreciate..a nice little country drive then bam, ! there's dinos ! lol

Looks great Blade - will you be adding some cover (bushes, etc to hide the construction near the feet and the "trees" holding it up?)

You know, create a canopy so the TRex looks like its walking through some bushes?  I think that would be the best solution for disguising the supports...

Yeah I have a lot of dead trees and limbs to put on there still after all the rock is down. Right now we have the black material down that covers the fiberglass beams at the bottom.

There will be trees and such..eventually. Just the wrong time of year for a lot of growth right now.  My banana trees haven't even started coming up yet.

I don't think Adam would mind my exasperation once in awhile..lol  I don't mind the feather look at all..it's just achieving it in this way that's ROUGH !  I do have the third Velociraptor done ( finally ! ) and will post some pics later.  :)

I do have a question about our upcoming Triceratops.   How the frill be positioned ?  I'm looking at the Battat and the new Wild Safari ones as extremes of both shapes. The big Super Deluxe CollectA Trike has sort of a middle ground feel ?  Which one is right ?

Blade-of-the-Moon

Guess no opinions eh ?

Anyway, here are some pics of the last Velociraptor after painting :

Wow! That is one awesome Velociraptor! I believe that is the third one you've done, right?

re: triceratops

"face down + frill upright" represents several possibilities: low "grazing" (I use that as a common term, I know Tric isn't a grazer per se), relaxed position, thread display, mating display.... so I guess it just makes perfect sense.... and that frill was made to be displayed anyway.

Having the frill flush to the neck, head high in alert or bellowing position might help you with balance and weight saving though.

so... uhm.... up to you.  hahaha.... hope I didn't confuse you more.:P
