Nice!  The digital camera did have some problems but I like the animatronics.  Where did you get the dinosaur sounds?

I just took a walk through your Dinosaur park (which I haven't done for a while :-[).
It's amazing how much it has evolved. You're quite diligent :).
Really nice! If I ever come to the U.S. I have to stop by and have a drink with you.

Thanks ! You'd be most welcome too !

Yeah it's an old cheap Kodak that is dire need of replacing and has been for some time...but when all your funds go to dinosaurs it takes a backseat.. lol

I think I received those from a moderator who used to be on JPLegacy. He offered all the JP sounds as a one big download. It's been very helpful to have.

That brings back childhood memories of a dinosaur park which my parents took me to several times. It was my favourite place on earth back then... At some point they replaced the beloved old-school, hand-made grey dinosaurs made from steel wire and plaster with modern, colorful plastic ones. Although they were much more life-like it was not the same for me anymore. Just a couple of years after that the park went bankrupt and it´s now gone... What a sad day. :'(

I really wish I could visit your park. Children must love it...

I think even retro-saurs have a place.  If I had some I would probably add a section just to put them in and show how views have changed over time...not just remove them all together.

I'm hoping this park continues on for a long while after I'm gone..but you never know.

The kids that were just here really seemed to enjoy themselves quite a bit..though several are a bit afraid of the Velociraptor enclosure still.

Do you mind posting a pic of the Sucho and Carnotaurus?
If they're here, tell me what page they are in

Maybe Create a Crystal Palace Style Megalosaurus or Iguanodon, and move Winston to that section to show how we used to think that Raptors were scaly.

You don't have to make them Life sized, just moderate to save money

it's an idea I might try eventually.  I'm so consumed with making accurate ones now though retro has to go on the back burner.  :/

Here's a progress pic of our next ceratopsian :

Any opinions on feathering for the tail ?

I say go for the Quills. If a Small Ceratopsian like Psitticasaurus had them, whose to say The proto didn't?

BTW Mybe you could post a Picture of each of your parks dinosaurs on the first post?

I might when I have a moment. There would be around 20 of them now.. lol

Your JP raptor is called "Winston"? That's brilliant! The Protoceratops is looking good so far :D  If it were up to me, I'd rotate the hands outward a bit more; and quills would not go amiss.

Yeah we named him for Stan in honor of his contribution to our love of dinos .  I mean without him that raptor would never have been made and who knows ? The whole Park may never have happened.

Currently the Proto hasn't hands really..just stumps as I'm sculpting the digits with epoxy so I can turn them outward a bit when I do it.

These might not be quills..per say.. I'm thinking to do them like I did our raptors or actually kind of like klownzilla's hair :

Not sure 100% yet though.

Oh, I see, no hands yet! That's what I get for scrutinizing images on my little Nintendo DS screen  ::)
I think that hair/feather technique could look pretty cool!

The finished Tyrannosaurus is awesome, I like a lot the colour scheme. Also the Velociraptors and your progress on the ceratopsians, keep the good work :D
