Yes. They both work, but I think the most natural looking position would be glued to stand in between the two, where the tail would be just off the ground.

The mold has been made (3, 2 piece molds) and I've been leak testing. It's mostly a matter of getting the right configuration of rubber bands to hold the mold parts together. The birds are looking good.

Here's how I dam the mold if anyone is interested. Cardboard will go around the rectangle and hold the silicone in. I didn't vent the right hand, as I want to vent it from the palm. I will do this by carving into the silicone with a stamp carving tool.
