How these figures look together? [Comparison Thread]

A warning to anyone who's CollectA Dimorphodon arrives bent; mine seems to have had some kind of "defect" (quotations because I stress it was perfectly fine before this) inside the left wing-finger about an inch or so up from the hand and it seems to have "imploded" in the hot water. I assume there was air inside and it collapsed after the plastic became soft.

Does anyone have a photo of the undersides of their Dimorphodons wings so I can see if this site has a mold artifact or something that could explain this? It well could have been my fault, though I don't see how an inward pointing surface of the figure could have contacted the outer hot sides of the pot. It's easily repairable, so it looks like I am going to repainting the Dimorphodon after all.

CollectA 2018 1:20 scale Dunkleostous figure with the other. More individual shots as well as comparison in my collection thread if you want to see more, cheers!

Haven't ordered the new Dunk yet and was wondering how it sized up against the others out there - you ESP-ed me! I have three of those in the photo and tried to imagine how they would look on display with the big guy - now I know, thanks.

Thanks for the comparison pic Bokisaurus. I even checked out your collection thread for the others. Thank you for taking such wonderful and helpful images.

Edit: The CollectA one is my favorite so far, and the Schleich one is probably my second choice.

Thanks for the Dunk comparison shot. I think the Favorite is still my favorite, but the CollectA has plenty to like about it. I think it'll have to go on a different shelf; it's just too huge to work well next to the Safari and Favorite.

CollectA deluxe Iguanodon figure with the rest of the gang. Many more photos in my collection thread if you want more close up and more comparison shots. Cheers to this beauty! ^-^

I had a feeling that new CollectA Iguanodon would dwarf the Safari Ltd one. It will be interesting to see how the Papo one compares to these, even if it isn't the most scientifically accurate restoration.

I have to think this one would also look nice alongside the CollectA Deluxe Parasaurolophus, even if they aren't in the same scale, or were contemporaries, but more because they are both lovely ornithopods that they have done.

By the way, Boki, the iguanodon that appears in the family photo of toy dinosaurs that reminds me of a muttaburrasaurus, to which company does it belong? I had never seen him before.  :o

It seems a good figure. On the other hand I suppose that the iguanodon Collecta certainly the best thing that this company has done together with the styracosaurus and the pterosaurs of the Supreme range is much greater than the iguanodon Recur.  :)

I dont like the spray painted stripes on the Collecta.
Is an upright posture still considered plausible for iguanodon?

It's the TS Toys unofficial Walking with Dinosaurs Muttaburrasaurus.

It was probably mostly quadrupedal but facultatively bipedal (that is, it could go on two feet if it wanted to, though the spinal column would have still been more horizontal than vertical).

^thanks, was just wondering b/c Ive noticed the more recent iguano figures use the quadruped stance.

I think I saw a request for these three together a few pages back (and couldn't find such a picture myself). I brought my Carnegie mammoth out of storage now that she has a herd to look after.  :D

sauroid

the two figures look beautiful but that Carnegie Mammoth is just majestic.

What a titanic trio. Three of the best Mammoths available in my opinion, the Carnegie one always 'top Elephant' in my book though. If I ever had to downsize (do what now!?) that would be one of the figures I'd hang onto. Don't have the Safari Mammoth yet (out of stock with my local supplier over here at the moment) so good to see how it sizes up with the other two, both of which are on my shelves. Thanks for the images.

Would love to see a comparison between the two latest sea monsters by Collecta, Kronosaurus and Dunkleosteus.

Would love to see a comparison of the 1:35 scale Vitae Giganotosaurus and 1:35 scale Rebor King T.rex.

Here are some comparison images between the Beasts of the Mesozoic Velociraptor and some Hasbro JW toys, and between the Safari Ltd Tyrannosaurus and American Mastodon figures:

The Beasts of the Mesozoic Velociraptor are huge to judge by the comparison you make with the feathered Tyrannosaurus and Safari Mastodon.  :o

mgaguilar

A little over 12 inches I presume? Fantastic, more room for all the detail. Can't wait to gawk at this thing when mine comes in.
