Hello! I'm announcing A contest to decide on a new paint scheme for the  Hylaeosaurus. The winning paint scheme will be made into three models! If your entry wins, you will have the opportunity to purchase the first model, however you are not required to. If the winner purchases the model, they will receive a complimentary nest. The next two models will be available to anyone.

To Enter: digitally color in the template OR print out, color, and scan. Then send your colored in template to: [email protected]

The contest will end on New Year's Day! You can fill in either the top outline or the bottom one, or fill in both using a variation of the same colors or pattern.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!  :) :) :)

I don't think the "prize" of the contest is really worth the effort. It's like asking someone to make/build something and then saying they must buy the product they made. You should GIVE one of the models for free for the "winner" of the contest, then sell the rest. Just the nest as a prize is not very tempting, since you have to pay for the dinosaur, to get the nest.

I could easily send you a message saying I want to buy a model with a color scheme I came up with and as long as I am paying, you will do the paint scheme. No need for a contest. Or I could buy the model and repaint it myself.

Forgive me if I sound rude, it is definitely not my intention. English is not my first language and it is hard to express myself. Sometimes our comments convey emotions that they were not intended to.

The point of this is to brainstorm for ideas, I wasn't sure which colors to do next, so I thought I'd open it up to everyone and pick the best one. Coloring in the lines isn't "work" it's just submitting your idea. Lots of magazines feature people's art and idea submissions. The only reason it's called a contest is because only one is selected as the best. If yours is the best, then you won, the option to buy it before someone else just makes sense, and the nest is just for fun.

You will notice I never used the word "prize", there wasn't meant to be a "prize". I understand how calling it a contest could be misunderstood, and I hope this clears it up.  :)

So, to reiterate, please enter if you have a fun idea for a color scheme, I need me some colors! :D if you have kids they can color it in for fun and get to see their submission next to others, and perhaps even be declared the best!

Really beautiful repaint, better than the original coloration  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Any updates on the matter? :)

Hello, yes. I've had the winner picked out as soon as all the entries were in, but I wanted to announce it with showing the paintjob, which I almost finished, and then it got pushed to the side for some more immediate projects. So I'm very sorry for abandoning this topic. I'll finish painting them today!  :) updates coming soon!
