My word! What is this?! It looks like they'd almost run out of ideas before they even started designing these...

CityRaptor

I can see an explanation like this:
"She put on armor. She is a very intelligent animal!"

That Ankylosaurus look familiar.

That is what I think, too. Already pointed it out on page 2 of this thread.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

They didn't need ideas really as they are all based on the JW game.

In fairness the detal of the sculpts is abit better and the paints have more layers.  That said i dislike repaints quite a bit, so i will only be getting one or two of these.

Ah, didn't see your post. I haven't been following the thread very closely.

CityRaptor

It's okay. I was using another incarnation ( Final Wars as opposed to Showa ) anyways.

Are you saying that looks like something from JW the game? Because if so, that is very wrong.

All I know is that is what was said about these, they were all based on this JW game.   Granted I know nothing of it myself.

Well, the armored figures aren't based of the game, neither is the big green rex, owen or the "super" Indominus, the  rest are based off the game.
I am the Dinosaur King!

Blade-of-the-Moon

Someone showed a pic of the green Rex from the game.  Owen well I figured that one.  The big I-Rex though they said was this one I think or some similar variant :

Jetoar

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

The T. rex is red in that game:

CityRaptor

The green T.rex instead looks like a Devilsaur from World of Warcraft.

All in all I'm not super thrilled. I may get the larger Carnoraptor and Owen that's it.  I think older Chaos Effect figures had more...punch.

CityRaptor

I wonder if the Spinoraptor has been cancelled in favour of the Spinosaurus repaint. I think having a Level 40 Spinoraptor would have been nice:

there was also a pteramimus ? They might be out in a later wave.

Am I the only one who's baffled by the apparent lack of a Mosasaurus resculpt? Geez, it was only the biggest badass of the film, Hasbro.

Not just a re-sculpt, but a much bigger one would be nice.

laticauda

If they did make one for the hybrid line, the question is, what would you like to see them combine with the Mosasaurus?

CityRaptor

I'm not sure what I would like to see, but I can imagine that they would probably base it on the game, too.
