Hi Dinosaur Toy Forum,

This started out as a hobby for me but has now become a full time preoccupation.

Over the last three years I have been developing a series of 3D printed lifeforms from the Paleozoic Era. All the models are based on paleontologically accurate data and they are all of museum quality.
I now have 10 models for sale and have launched a corresponding website (paleozoo.com.au).
All the content of the website has been created by myself, including all animations and graphics.

I'm now just casting about to see if anyone in the world is interested.

Best regards,
Paleozoo

I'm certainly very interested, are you going to continue to make more models? Some of the sections on your website are blank so i'm going to assume so. I'm a big fan of placoderms, so it's nice to see more genera besides the classic Dunkleosteus and Bothriolepis. Keep up the good work, i'm very interested to see what you come out with next :)

Thanks,

EarthboundEiniosaurus
"Just think about it... Ceratopsids were the Late Cretaceous Laramidian equivalent of todays birds of paradise. And then there's Sinoceratops..."
- Someone, somewhere, probably.

Paleozoo

Yes, I'll be progressively working through all the Paleozoic periods and aim to have 4 models in each category.

Each model takes a fair bit of time to design and develop though and the accompanying animation, graphics and copy also takes a great deal of time.

I'm expecting it to take years.

Thanks for the response though.

ProSauropod

This is really wonderful stuff - are these available to order??  My family motto, translated from the Latin, means "Dear God anything but another theropod" and I especially look forward to the Devonian-to-Permian ( Acanthostega and friends ? ).  Congratulations on breaking out of the Jurassic Park mindset - you have half the history of life pretty much all to yourself  ^-^

Paleozoo

Right now that's the way it feels. Almost nothing out there on these.
(anomalocarids, trilobites, bothriolepids, eurypterids, opabiniae, hallucigeniae, placodermi, ammonitae). And I can choose from hundreds of others.

Virgin territory anyone?

Yes you can buy if you like. Just navigate down through the page of each model.

stargatedalek

Very impressive! Do they come already painted/coloured? And what materials are they in?

Paleozoo

Yes, all in full colour and as you see on screen.

They are all high quality 3D prints made of Gypsum and/or plastics combination.

Each model is hand packaged with accompanying information card.

These look very nice; you'll get some business from me when I get a bit of money. Just hoping the exchange rate remains in my favor :)

very cool! will you only focus on marine/aquatic creatures?

I just want to say that I think everything about this is outstanding--the models, the website, the works! I can't quite push myself into buying any of them now, though, as I already have representations of these, either from Kaioydo or Favorite or etc. I will definitely be checking back often to see if anything new is added and, if the line is expanded, please keep us updated and, in the meantime, I hope you sell a ton of these.

Wow...those are freakin nice, man...real nice.  Pretty good sized too.

Have you considered offering them unpainted, and what does it cost to ship something like this from down under to the US?

Paleozoo

They can be printed out in white if required but hand painting won't come anywhere close to the detailing that these models have.

Postage to US is approx USD15.

If you navigate to purchase on website the postage cost is automatically calculated and displayed.

How interesting.  I wish your company luck!  You posted some images that aren't working.  I'd like to see more of what you've done.
