I obviously enjoy sauropods as my dinosaurs of choice. I felt rather than keep trying to make the captions here make sense I will just post the images and if you have questions you can ask.  I wanted to try and pretty it up some and add more figures . I am just not adept at handling the order of the pictures and the text yet. I hope you like them and please feel free to ask anything I can offer.

Very kind, thanks. I personally love that model, and have been asked to write a kids story based on the character. I named it the Little Dinosaur Cazaui.

The Jorge Blanco and Bob Morales models both look phantastic! :)

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a T-rex by Krentz? My friends all have Sideshow, I must make amends.

Very kind, I admit I am super fond of both. I bought the Brach from him then asked him to build the Amargasaur and let him know it was my favorite dinosaur. He refused to show me pictures until the piece arrived. I was just stunned with it. I think he did a stunning job.

You are so kind, thanks. I love that amargasaurus myself. I had purchased it several years ago, when I thought if I just said the magic words and rubbed a bottle I might do anything . I of course have no clue how to build resin models, or paint that well for that matter, so the kit languished in my basement for years. Then i got to know Bob Morales and asked if he might consider doing the work on it. I specified it was my favorite dinosaur, and I wanted something very unique. The only real guidance I offered was that I felt with those spines, the animal would have looked very flashy or been well patterned. He refused to show me how it was painted until it arrived. I admit I fell in love with the build and colors instantly.
My personnal thought was Bob found a way to tread a thin line between overdoing the colors and yet still appearing realistic. It is also a nice sized model, and seemed to go together nicely. I have not pictured the base that came with it, but Bob showed it just as much love.
Thanks for your kind thoughts and hope to speak to you again soon.

I will try and get a few nice shots of the animal with the base on tuesday and get them up. I am trying to talk Bob into visiting the forum and posting some of his work and models here as well.
I chose the Blanco Amargasaurus due to the spines. The other common model I see offered is the Kaiyodo, and it has a sail rather than spines. As there is no direct evidence for the sail, I felt I wanted a piece that accurately reflects the known facts rather than suppositions.
I guess that becomes another discussion.....sail or spines? If it had a sail why, and if not what were the spines for?
Or even more to consider, if you allow that south America and Africa were at one time connnected and you find the Amargasaurus in South America and the Ouranosaurus, and Spinosaurus in Africa, what was happening to cause dinosaurs of that land mass to develop high spines down their backs?

I went today and took some pictures of the Amargasaur and its base. The little add-ons were Bob Morales work, ie. the small shrubs, stones and what not. This should give you a good idea of what the trackway looks like.

In watching the discussions regarding the current Carnegie release Brachiosaur, I wondered if anyone had heard if they are speciating the dinosaur. In other words is the sculpt based on the North American species, and material or the Berlin mount? If it is based on the Berlin mount, the modifications to neck and chest make sense in light of the redone mount in Berlin. To me it looks as if they were trying emulate the changes made in the Berlin mount for this piece, but it asks the question....would it not then be called Giraffatitan rather than Brachiosaur? If you dont agree check the elbows slanted out posture for instance in compare with the New Brach.
