That Kentrosaurus is made by shleich? ??? It looks pretty good. The body doesn't look as awkward as the old one and the whole thing looks nice overall. Does anyone know how big it is? It may be the best thing I've ever seen from shleich.
Truthfully, I like the Kentrosaurus from 2015 better. I like the dynamic pose and the coloration. I think the 2017 one might represent a female.

What I like best about the Schleich Kentrosauruses is the way the spikes transition from the back to the tail rather than being two different looks. I don't know if this is anatomically accurate, but it's aesthetically pleasing to me.

Looks to be accurate, at least most skeletals seem to show this, including Scott Hartman's.  GSP's is a notable exception though.

I wonder what happened there  ??? those sculpts look like they are from totally different companies, the Kentrosaurus looks actually good, on par with the 2015 one. But that Acrocanthosaurus, doesn't even look like an Acro and the sculpt is lacking the detalis shown on the Kentro.

Perhaps Schleich has two different sculptors for the dinosaurs, that would explain how they release so many new sculpts, and how some look better than others.

The Kentrosaurus looks good, I like it better than the 2015 version. Makes a nice pair with the Stegosaurus too, they seem to have similar but complementary poses.

I just got the Utahraptor and it's okay. Here is my review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCAGM7toZDA

By the way, as I have been told in a store the new kentrosaurus of 2017 from Schleich planned for June / July replaces the previous one (the latter is discontinued). I warn you for those wishing to buy the old version of Schleich's kentrosaurus because they do not have it or are interested in it ahead of time.

Retired already? Of course! It is one of their better models. Those usually don't last long!
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Kentrosaurus is still listed on Schleich website, is it possible they'll retire the 2015 version by mid-year? And seems like they retired the walking T-Rex, I think it was from 2014, but they kept the 2012 version, whereas they kept both 2012 and 2014 Velociraptor models. That's confusing.

CityRaptor

Could be.
And do you mean the light green one? I guess it is too close to the other one, which is generally "more iconic" ( you know a big statue, various repaints etc. ).
You sure about the retirement? The website lists both:

I swear, Schleich has done some weird decisions when it has come to retiring figures.

I did look on the US/english version of the site, it isn't listed anymore if you switch to that. So Schleich has a policy of retiring different products in different territories? Even more confusing.

Apparently their policy is that the good die young.

I swear that happened last year.

The 2015 Kentrosaurus is basically everywhere in toy shops, and despite the large amount of copies around I never encountered one with a decently painted head. I don't know what kind of finish they use but it also looks like it is dusty, which is incredibly annoying. I'll see if the new version is any better, and then probably will wait for Papo.

The head on mine is decent, it's just the top that is a bit meh.

And so Schleich will live forever.

Well, out of the companies that currently produce toy dinosaurs, they are the oldest. They have been around since 1935 with their first dinosaur figures being made in 1965.

And these first ones have been around for 31 years.
