193 million years ago, there was a small stream wandering through the woods in Yunnan Province, China. The full, mellow flow of the stream came soothingly on the ear. A dinosaur emerged into the scene. It stalked towards the water, its double head crests clearly visible. A Dilophosaurus Sinensis. Suddenly, a rustle caught its attention. Its menacing eyes shot towards the rustle in the bushes behind.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

If this model didn't have pronated wrists I would very much want this model.

that is a very cool looking Dilophosaurus figure. if only IToy would research more regarding the accuracy of their figures. and if only they'd be more prolific.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Lanthanotus

Well, pronated hands can easily be remedied if that figure, as the Itoy Ceratosaurus, is made of some rubber/PVC. I agree, it looks very impressive and I repaet myself, I like that they added lips that hide those teeth once the mouth is closed. Also, that transparent part on the base is very nice, would be even more coll if they threw in some amphibian or fish there :D

Such a shame with the pronated wrists, I've always wanted a (sort of) JP inspired dilophosaurus without pronated wrists...
I might get this one as the overall sculpt and colouration is pretty decent, but this is definitely not on my top priorities list, especially when it's competing with all those other juicy 2017 releases  ;).

Nanuqsaurus

Scaly, shrink-wrapped and with pronated hands...not really my style... I think it's about time we get a feathered Dilophosaurus with this level of detail!

terrorchicken

didnt the JP dilo have pronated wrists? I know my small toy version(the water squirter) had them. As a sculpture of the classic JP dilo its fantastic! all its missing is the frill(which I hated anyway lol!)

Blade-of-the-Moon

I wonder if i could put a JP Jeep behind it and add a piece of bloody rain slicker to it's mouth?

Something like this would be fantastic. Interestingly Bullyland produced a partially feathered Dilophosaurus, though it isn't very good.

That's a pretty good model, but it's kinda ironic it still has pronated hands! :P

Was about to type the same..... you'd think that those wrists made it even earlier into people's minds than feathers on all those theropods.

Dilopho

Oh, now ITOY is speaking my language... ;)

Even if that language seems to have been partially muddled during translation. Pronated wrists? JP design? Scary huge mouth?

A little too 3XTR3M3!1!! for me but on the other hand...it's a Dilophosaurus! I can't see me getting this for myself but I certainly would love to own one in the future! It's a nice diorama piece!

Is it just me, or does everyone else appreciate more and more detailed figures for better prices? With the likes of Papo, Rebor, ITOY, PNSO and even Safari and Collecta producing figures of sometimes near Sideshow-quality?

Still...while ITOY's Dilophosaurus could only hang out laundry to dry with its pronated hands,
this one could ride a Harley Davidson!  ;D

All kidding aside, I do like the new ITOY's figure a lot.
What's the price range for ITOY figures?
Are they going to be as expensive as Rebor?

Lanthanotus

As of yet there's just two Itoy models that I am aware of, a Deinonychus for around 35 $ and the Ceratosaurus for around 70 (including international shipping).
