There are a lot of reasons to watch and or like a movie aside from its scientific accuracy. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss "Jurassic World" with how little we really know about it. To say you won't see it when a trailer has not even been released is a little premature I think. I'll no doubt whine about the accuracy too when it comes out but what I really want from this is a good movie. You know, the kind with story, character etc. The kind of stuff that generally makes a movie good.
^ this
I may complain about them being inaccurate but they are still great movies,  in fact my favorite movie is the original JP
accuracy is not a necessity,  its nice to have, but if its not accurate so be it, its still a cool Sci Fi movie with fictional dinosaur mutants

Exactly. The inaccurate creatures in the first JP didn't make me like them any less..even now.  They were still cool and worked .

Quotea few species of crayfish can be red, but lobsters only turn red after being cooked (I won't go into that causes it) so when a live lobster is depicted as red its inaccurate, yet for example Gojira can look like anything, and be "accurate" no matter what (unless you want to compare it to a real animal which again not going into)
Not true. Mutant lobsters do exist and they're more common than they used to be. The example given here is orange rather than red, but it wouldn't surprise me if red ones started turning up too:

The blue one is particularly fetching.

I have to say, after years of regularly visiting the Bedford Oceanography Institute I've never seen a red lobster amongst the mutations, but with so much potential variance I'd say its entirely possible ;)

as for that sauropod, I think its a hastily done brachiosaurus

Maybe one day we can see a real life Ebirah >:D

I should ask next time I visit, see the reactions :P

You have to remember, on the little book they show a corythosaurus, labeled as Parasaurolophus. And brachiosaurus as apatosaurus.
I may not like feathered dinosaurs and stumpy legged Spinosaurs, but I will keep those opinions to myself, I will not start a debate over it, I promise. 😇

I think there was a post on it on JPL, it matched up pretty close/ almost exactly with a dinosaur image taken from a book if I recall.  They just used the outline.   These things are just mock ups of potential products , not finished designs.

I was actually wondering more about the thin tailed stegosaurus and the zombie triceratops coming out of the ground.. lol

What I'm wondering is what's the deal with the 1 on the far right? I mean, it's got a line right down the middle.

It's two toned. Apparently it happens from time to time.

Mutant lobsters are awesome. There have been ones found with extra claws. Did you hear about Lola, the six clawed lobster?

stargatedalek

is it a mutation? or an injury that healed poorly?

I've seen 3 clawed before, but it was from an injury healing twice and not a mutation

interesting, and yes, maybe we should try and find something JW to talk about :P

heres some more of the d-rex paddock

Some odd "trivial".  Symmetrical bicolor lobsters are typically hermaphrodites bearing a male sex organ on one side of their body and a female sex organ on the other side.

There have been birds found like that, they too, are bi colored.

turtles too, and (I think?) snakes

back to JW, its nice to have a good sense of scale for the paddock

Huh. I'm not so sure about snakes.

The scientific term is that should be applied is "bilateral gynandromorphs" - animals that are quite literally, half male and half female.

This tells us how large the D-Rex is..seems about 20' tall judging by the claw marks inside.

It's a very tall pen..maybe it can jump like a Velociraptor?
