Does anyone have a rough estimate of what scale the Baryonyx will be in?

Does anyone have a rough estimate of what scale the Baryonyx will be in?

Depending on what size estimate for Baryonyx you follow, it could be anywhere between 1:23 and 1:30.

Different length estimates for Baryonyx appear to be due to different estimates for portions of Baryonyx that aren't known, particularly in its tail.  They don't mean Baryonyx overall changes in size based on the estimate.

The scale bar provided in the Baryonyx skeletal by Jaime Headden (it can be seen on Wikipedia) and the one by Scott Hartman (it can be seen on his website) show how long one metre is compared to known parts of Baryonyx, and so it can be used to help work out the scale of a figure.  By my rough calculations, Baryonyx as reconstructed in their skeletals ends up being a little over 9m long.

I don't think there's any way for a 7.5m long estimate to work unless Baryonyx is reconstructed with a weirdly short tail.  I don't know of any spinosaurid specimen that preserves enough of the tail to show what it's like compared to other parts of the animal, but I think an educated guess can be made.  Based on that, I think 7.5m long is too short for Baryonyx considering the parts of it that are known.

The proportions of the Mojo Baryonyx that affect length seem to be consistent with the skeletals by Headden and Hartman that I mentioned above.  So, based on that and my rough guess for the size of the Mojo figure (taking into account the given length for the toy and that its tail is in a curved pose), I would roughly estimate that the Mojo Baryonyx is in 1:30 scale.

Is it normal for Mojo to push back their dates so long for this? I feel like they should've rode the wave of hype for the JW:FK toys.
I haven't seen any stock at all. I know they may be waiting for release of the movie, but wouldn't commercial release a few days/weeks before the movie being released normal?

Was wondering the same, what's the hold up? The toys were released months ago, the film is already out, the tie in videogame was just released, we're halfway through the year... why the massive wait?

The release date for the Mojo figures being pushed back has been a good thing for me, as I'm interested in getting the Baryonyx and Giganotosaurus but I need to sort out a few things in my room first.  I hope I'll be able to get my room ready soon so I can get these figures once they become available. :)

They told me in a message that I sent by email to the online company shop.modellpferdeversand.de that the Mojo dinosaurs in your store will arrive on this Thursday or next Thursday. So I think the coming of the Mojo dinosaurs is a fact.

For my part I'm going to buy them at a store in Granada (city of my country) alcaiceria.com whose shipping comes completely free, I prefer to wait until the store receives them to buy them from other online stores further away. I already have them in charge.

On the other hand, the minizoo.com.au store comments on its Mojo news page that these figures will be available at the end of June. We have less to find those beauties. The truth is that it is frustrating that these figures take so long to arrive. Without a doubt my favorite are the three theropods without exception, the diplodocus I will buy it in order to complete my collection.

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus Thank you so much for the in depth response! Can't wait for these guys! Guessing Thursday for the movie release in the states is the deal, a week later seems so late.
Definitely in it for the Giga, as I am on a largest Theropod grind right now. Just in time for PNSO's revival.  >:D

Sadness. It seems like Mojo is really taking their sweet time with these releases. Appears Minizoo does not have them in stock as of yet, or any other online retailers.

Unfortunately, Mojo's launches are being delayed. I will ask Minizoo or another online dinosaur company when these figures will be commercialized.

I'm afraid you can even wait until December at this stage. Something similar happened with the prehistoric mammals that revealed their prototypes in 2012 unfortunately.  :-\

I come to give you a very good news:

At the shop.modellpferdeversand.de the latest news of Mojo of 2018 (diplodocus, deinonychus, baryonyx and giganotosaurus) are available, apart from repainted dinosaurs. I just bought them at a more than acceptable price.

Of course I've had luck on my birthday.

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus YOU'RE THE BESTTTTT

FINALLYYYYY. Hopefully more online retailers will begin stocking them soon.

Looking forward to see in-hand pictures of the Baryonyx. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to get one anytime soon because I am too focused on Mattel´s Jurassic World toy line and don't have a lot of money left for regular dinosaur figures.

Thanks avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar  I like to give good news to my friends from the forum of the toy dinosaur and more on a day when I turn years. Today has been a lucky day.

First the wuerhosaurus of Vitae and then the dinosaurs of Mojo has been a round day. The packages if everything goes well I will pick them up in September, I have already given orders to monsterhouse and to the German store where I have been one of the first buyers.

Thank you very much avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar I have turned 47 years old I am a "float" and think that when I was little I laughed with my classmates of those over forty calling them "mature men and mature women", definitely calling them old. Well, I've reached this age in the best of cases in the middle of my life who was going to tell me.

Quick question and a little off-topic. I've never ordered from here before, but I recently ordered and I'm from the US.
In the receipt email, they stated that I may have to pay additional customs duties in order to get my package delivered. Is this true?

Unfortunately avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar it is true you will have to pay tariffs and it depends on the customs service of your nation.

In my case I bought Brett Dinotoyforum member (excellent seller and excellent person who has served me in all he could) a package with dinosaurs Kaiyodo and Favorite on June 28 and is held in customs from day 6 of July, that is to say, it has been almost a month, on the other hand, I have been asked for documentation and for what I have been told by the customs service and the tax agency, in the next few days I will receive it from a postal employee in my country and I will have to pay customs duties and customs.

If you have it withheld at customs you will have to pay taxes to the tax office to the postal employees. So I recommend you to be patient and if they ask you for information (invoice, identity document, a paper that you fill in by letter or via internet and all that with the scanned documents if you are going to deliver it via email) so that you release the package.

Get in touch with the employees of your postal service to inform you that you must be patient and diplomatic and the comments will have the same as waiting like me a month and a few days, I hope I'm wrong.

Unfortunately nothing can be done by the sender. You have to talk to the post office and first of all I repeat, be patient, diplomatic and take it easy, it can take up to a month and a half as it is happening to me.

Thank you for the thorough explanation. I've never had a package held for longer than a full week at customs before, but I guess it would be this package since it is decently priced.
I do hope I get an invoice through email, rather than through snail mail, as I know this would be an insane period of waiting.

Will do. Again, thank you so much avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus. And I do hope your packages come through soon. The Mojo's will I guess have to wait for a bit longer than I thought.
