The triceratops is smaller than I expected compared to the original Jurassic park one but it's still great.

Yeah, that one definitely looks better. Since the less appealing one is from the Legacy collection, this one should be from the Walmart Exclusive Battle-Damage lineup.

No, no, no, no, they are the same figure. I was just stating that the actual figure looks better than the promo.
Oh my bad, do we have news on the battle damage line yet?

Mattel Baryonyx. A shame they didn't paint the front claws, same applies to most if not all of their dinosaur figures.

Paint on claws is a nitpick, I have an entire bottle of paint..missing claws is another matter entirely. Looking you Hasbro Raptors.

I highly suspect the godawful Suchomimus was sculpted by the same person who did the Allosaurus (and maybe the ceratosaurus, but it isn't as bad as the other two).
IMO all three look out of place from the rest of the line, with weird jutting eyes that stare right into your soul, questionable sculpting choices (Allo's rat tail, Sucho's paper thin sail, Cerato's shrink wrapped face), and off putting oversized teeth that extends waaaay too far back on the top jaw (doesn't exactly apply to cerato).

Does anyone see this trend with these three, or other figures in the line?

THORRIDUS89

I think the Baryonyx is one of the better sculpted carnivores is the line in my opinion.

Here's a review of the Indoraptor, looks pretty cool, for $20 it looks pretty fun.

I usually never buy vehicles, but I'm thinking of getting either the Gyro Blast, or the Rescue Rig, or both just so my dinosaurs have something to attack.

I believe there may be another Jeep Wrangler coming in the legacy line, that might just be a clean version of this one. However, the other Matchbox Jeep is 1:18 scale, and I believe it was confirmed to be able to seat figures.

Reptilia

I wonder why the guy in the video has to talk that way, is it supposed to sound charming for children?

The extreme chompin' rex looks the best so far, I don't collect toys but I might end up getting one of these rexes for how faithful they are to their screen counterpart.

Faelrin

I'm probably going to get both the Extreme Chomping and Thrash and Throw Tyrannosaurus, if partly because of their sculpt differences, but also because I kind of like features of both of them (less seams + more articulation on the Chomping T. rex, and electronic feature on the Thrash and Throw T. rex). If I have to pick one up first it'll probably be the smaller (and probably cheaper) Extreme Chomping T. rex.

I probably won't get any vehicles unless they put out a surprise Ford Explorer, although the Jeep is tempting. Still I'm clearly planning on getting the dinosaurs first and foremost.

The RC Gyro is tempting.  Set up your dinosaurs and have "tours" like in JW.  A similar idea if they did an RC Explorer.   I did really like the RC Jeep before,  I hung my human figures on it and had a Raptor stuck on the back lol

Apparently some Toys R Us stores in the US have been dumping their Mattel figures out early and on discount. I'll be heading to Toys R Us tomorrow, if you try to snag MY Baryonyx, I'll knife ya.

@Loon No way! Let me know how it goes. I'd love to see some JW toys on sale before release!
Get some photos!

Disappointingly, I checked a local Toys R Us and they had nothing, not even in the back. There's one closer by, I'll check it out tomorrow, but my dreams have been shattered.

Found a video that shows all the big boys and girls from all JP/JW toylines. As well as other size comparisons

I'm holding out hope on a big one too (so far Mattel has knocked it out of the park with a sense of scale). At least we know there will be a Spinosaurus in the toyline now that the image of it in the app has been going around. Although it looks a little off there, but it could be the lack of lighting and/or just a poorly done model that isn't 100% reflective of the sculpt (and that's probably the case since some of the other models in the app are a little bit off from their toy counterpart).

I'm honestly really tempted now to collect one of each species in the films (that there are toys for), and possibly some variations (TLW Velociraptor and JPIII Velociraptor, JPIII Pteranodon and JW Pteranodon), since Mattel has went all out and pretty much created nearly every species (especially including the Legacy line). Everything but the sauropods and hadrosaurs (but at least there's the Kenner Parasaurolophus, and the JPIII Brachiosaurus, which could serve as a juvenile) are now represented in this line, since even the compies have figures now with the Legacy human characters. The only downside is it would be expensive (at first at least since most are Wave 1 releases), and/or I run out of potential display space.
