My signature isn't appearing for me either lol   facebook keeps changing the location address so I have to keep updating it...and I forget.  lol

I could host these on my facebook should be there a few months but it won't help anyone that doesn't have it I think?

any better?

DinoToyForum

Yep! Thanks! Looks like there is going to be a spitting spitter.  >:D

That Triceratops looks alright. The first T. rex is impressively huge; wonder how much trouble it'll have standing up. And what the hell is with that other T. rex toy?

Oh that Dilophosaurus sculpt seems interesting, although I think the JW might have had better proportions, but at least the frill here doesn't look as awkward as it was on the JW one. Hope the color scheme comes close to film accurate like the Kenner one was (with the black markings on the back), otherwise I think I might just go with the Kenner water spitter, because of its near film accurate color scheme. The Triceratops seems similar to the Lost World one and JPIII one in proportions and colors, although that tail is really long. Much longer then on either of those other Triceratops figures. That big T. rex is looking good. Hopefully the final thing looks that good, because that will be a must buy. Even the striping is looking close to how it was on the first film's version of this T. rex. Although I really hope it has the binocular vision, which none of the JW T. rex figures had. The other one looks terrible, with the weird long snout (although yeah it's not too far off from a juvenile T. rex, but I doubt they were going for that), and terribly huge feet like the Stomp and Strike. Definitely passing on that one.

So far my wishlist is looking like this (aside from the Carnotaurus, all of those are maybes right now):
Carnotaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Baryonyx, Mosasaurus, Dilophosaurus, Stygimoloch.
Film Accurate Mattel JW and JP toys list (incl. extended canon species, etc):

Better look quick, I have folks on facebook telling me to remove them already.  If Mattel contacts me I'll have to pull them, I'm not being sued.. lol

Reptilia

How big is that T-Rex?!

Can Mattel contact a private Facebook user and tell him to pull down pictures that by now are of public domain? Sure they can't do anything if someone take those pics, upload them on some image hosting site and then link them here.

I came here a little bit late, I have a lot to catch on..
So, this new line, what do I think?
I was hoping to finally get a good line of JP toys, one that may not be as good as the kenner ones, but definitely better than the hasbro ones. Aaaaanndd I have mixed feelings.

Jugging for what has been leaked, yes, they are better than the JW toys, but not as good as they should be. Let´s start saying that these look like solid toys unlike the JW. I can't judge the sculpt and detail of the figures with only a few photos, but I am optimistic that they will be decently detailed.

The main problem I see with these toy are two things:

Colors: This is IMO the biggest problem, some of these have colors that made them more toy like, rather that trying to give a dinosaur a more "realistic appearance" like Kenner did. Some of these really need better paint, because I am sure they would look better with a better made color-scheme. I will dare to say that the JP3 toys had better colors than these.
Proportions: Some of these figures have HUGE feet, a lot of Schleich figures have big feet and they look better.

Overall, like I said, I have mixed feelings. What we have seen is a BIG improvement to JW but not the improvement that I (And probably a lot of people) wanted. I know that it is imposible to get something like the old keeners these days, but a little bit more effort would be welcome. Maybe I am being somewhat negative. I will reserve mi final judgment once the toys are released. And I have to say, for what they are, some of them actually look nice.

Now I will comment each figure individually.

-Metriacanthosaurus: One of the worst so far, Those feet are ugly and remind me of a JW toy feet, and that dragging tail is inexcusable, the head and the body look ok though.
-Allosaurus: This one is ok, I am sure this one would benefit from a somewhat better paint. Proportion-wise looks good, the feet are big, but not to the point that they are distracting. Also I guess this confirms that the "Allosaurus" from the trailer is actually Allosaurus, since they both have a blue scheme.
-Baryonyx: One of best. Good colors, good proportions...It even has notch in it´s jaw! Hopefully there are more like this one.
-Carnotaurus: Another one that looks good....but I do not like how long the feet look in the photo. I really like the color scheme, but the paint application needs to be better.
-Mosasaurus: Another good looking one, and its BIG. But it has a huge head and a short body....
-Indoraptor: NOOOOO, they spoiled how it looks, noooo!
Just kidding, it looks exactly like how I would spect a raptor Indominus rex to look. But why is black? One of the trailers shows it´s jaws, and they are clearly WHITE. Maybe it changes his skin color to black in some point in the movie? The figure looks fine, but we need better pictures.
-Stygymoloch: Filmakers should have went with the classic Pachycephalosaurus instead of the possible teenage form of it. Having said that, this is one of the worst figures, feet and head are too big, the only positive thing that I can say is that the Dino damage is covered. Thanks for that Mattel, but this Stygy is still bad.
-Triceratops: Its just a blurry picture, but the figure looks good, albeit the colors could be better.
-Dilophosaurus: The figure looks good. EXCEPT FOR THOSE HUGE A** FEET.
-Tyrannosaurus: HOLY CR""P!. It´s HUGE, and it looks great! THIS IS HOW A JP FIGURE SHOULD LOOK.
-The other Tyrannosaurus: While the detail and paint are better than any JW figure, this is probably the worst thing from this line. Huge feet, tiny body, everything is wrong here. I rather have a completely static figure rather than this overarticulated mess.

Archinto

I sure do hope that big t rex is real and official. It looks so much like the original concept model for the kenner rex. I would buy a few of them...
I'm seeking Orsenigo and other interesting vintage dinosaurs. Contact me if you can help with my search!

Flaffy

What's with the weird sparkles on every one of the small toys?
Anyways that HUGE Tyrannosaurus looks amazing! Not sure how affordable it is, and how practical, but it'll be nice to hunt one down.
The small rex looks nasty, almost as bad as the Hasbro one. I heard that apparently both rexes were supposed to have some degree or "real feel" Kenner like rubber skin, but they decided to cheapen down the smaller one and, well, we got that ugly duckling. A shame really, the figure that most kids will likely purchase (because 1.It's a T.rex, 2.It's easier on the wallet) turned out to be another disappointment.

The Trike is your average Trike, nothing to write home about really, and it's got a hecking long tail. Well at least Mattel was smart and decided to put in an actual Triceratops figure, unlike Hasbro's Stegoceratops abomination.

As for the Dilophosaurus, everything looks fine until you see the big hands and clown feet. I really hope they change the proportions of the smaller regular figures, but my faith in Mattel is really thin right now. And that frill better be removable.

Pretty average, Mattel missed their chance. Might end up purchasing the big rex only, IF it's quality is kept till retailing phase.

Phoenix

Ok so were are finally getting a Gyrosphere that you can use with actual figures (not the miniature generic humans or the cardboard pic Hasbro included on their attempt at this 2 years ago), that's good.

The big Rex, I love it, no more to say, she is just beatiful!

The Trike looks great too, an improvement over Hasbro's too.

The Dilophosaurus, like the Stygimoloch, has huge feet but I'm quite sure that's to help kids getting the dinos to stand on their own, and it having a soft body and spitting action are actually cool things too! I like it.

The smaller Rex on the other hand...that thing looks more like Momma Dino from Ice Age 3 than any JP Rex...

I think its supposed to made to compete with Jakks big figures like that 3' Godzilla.

maybe it's supposed to be ash?

i guess it should be 40-50.00 or so? about the other big fig prices?

Appalachiosaurus

Awww, sad that they wanted to make a giant Apatosaurus but were shut down because Universal didn't think it would sell. I would have loved to add another absolutely massive dinosaur to the collection.

Flaffy

What could've been...

What a shame, what a shame. I really hoped we would get a really pretty small sized JP Tyrannosaurus.
Shame on Mattel for cheapening the small rex. I wonder what happened to this head sculpt...

Reptilia

This might be the head for the bigger version, an early stage prototype.

its a sad mentality but it's even reflected in the film..everyone wants teeth.  maybe if the line goes well they can push for one?  A big help would be to have one take center stage, maybe fight a predator?

I think your right, it looks like it could be for the big one.  the jaw feature looks correct.

Faelrin

I'm thinking that green head prototype is for the big T. rex too. The prototype head matches up quite nicely with that one's head in any case, well as much as can be made out from how blurry that image is. I really hope that's the case, because that prototype head is pretty close to being spot on for the JP T. rex head (even looks like it might have the binocular vision unlike the JW figures).
