Well, the Safari 2019 thread I started had some fabulous ideas, so let's do CollectA now!

First let's talk redos. The 2017 Deluxe Styracosaurus totally topped its predecessor and the upcoming Deluxe Iguanodon looks like it'll do the same. Indeed, CollectA could easily do an entire wave of updated figures, but I'm going to limit my preferences to just a few:

Baryonyx
Brachiosaurus. Doesn't have to be a Deluxe, just has to be good!
Lambeosaurus
Paraceratherium

And as far as all-new toys go, I'd love to see:

Austroraptor
Halszkaraptor
Sinocalliopteryx
Borealopelta
Tarchia
Sinoceratops
Stegoceras
Shantungosaurus
Heterodontosaurus
Aardonyx
Caviramus
Pterodaustro
Cotylorhynchus
Lycaenops
Desmatosuchus
Globidens
Tanystropheus
Jaekelopterus
Megatherium
Arctotherium
Sivatherium
Livyataan

As for my top pick, it's the same as it's been for the last couple of years: a Supreme class Yi qi. :)

I would LOVE to see some more deluxe models of mini pterosaurs! The Guidraco and Dimorphodon are fantastic!

How about a 1:1 Anurognathus?

My list for Collecta:
Standard Figures:
Dorudon
Mastodon or an Updated Mammoth
A walking Daspletosaurus
Any Centrosaurid
Pentaceratops
Anything Paleozoic
Deluxe Figures:
1:40 or 1:20 scale Xiphactinus
1:40 or 1:20 scale Updated Paraceratherium
1:40 scale updated Stegosaurus (based on Hartman's reconstruction)
And anything Paleozoic again
Supreme class
Yi qi
And that's my list, hopefully some of these come to fruition by Collecta in 2019!

1:40 or 1:20 scale Updated Paraceratherium

I agree that the Paraceratherium is in need of an update. While impressive for its time, the CollectA Paraceratherium also sported a Joe Camel mug.

I really expected CollectA to jump on the opportunity to make a Yi qi. It's such a CollectA species!

I really want to see more hadrosaurs from them,  specially if they reissue Olorotitan and Lambeosaurus in 1:40 scale. I would also like another tyrannosaur, I don't know why but I think it's more likely from them to make Albertosaurus or Gorgosaurus than Safari, also they could reissue Tarbosaurus, Daspletosaurus and Eotyrannus. And dromeosaurs, why can't they show us what they can do with a dromeosaur now.

AcroSauroTaurus

John

By a turn of good luck,CollectA already are going to release what I want to see the most in the upcoming Ceratosaurus. ;D
So whatever they feel like making from this point on will be a nice extra bonus for me. :)

The re-editions of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals of Collecta that I would like you to carry out this company are the following:

Chasmosaurus standard and already doing a chasmosaurus at a scale of 1:15 or 1:20.
Tsintaosaurus,
Corythosaurus
Olorititan
Paraceratherium and that is one at 1:20 scale as very small.
Alioramus would prefer a Deluxe with base
Daspletosaurus
Concavenator
Neovenator (at least put a stable and permanent base
Pachyrhinosaurus
Triceratops scale 1:40, 1:35 or 1:20
Brachiosaurus Deluxe to the same scale but improved
Majungasaurus
Rajasaurus and with permanent base
Plateosaurus Deluxe scale 1:40 or 1:20
Nigersaurus scale 1:20 or better to the same scale of the Amargasaurus Safari
Agustinia Deluxe without that head from my so rare point of view
Tarbosaurus would prefer a Deluxe
Ornitocheirus
Sarcosuchus standard and one Deluxe
Dracorex
Standard and Deluxe Gigantoraptor at the same scale as deinocheirus and therizinosaurus

New dinosaurs

Hypacrosaurus
Giganotosaurus Deluxe
Ptedodaustro
Yi qi Deluxe
Dsungaripterus Deluxe scale 1:20 or 1:40
Scipionyx
Compsognatus
Xiphactinus
Deinosuchus scale Deluxe 1:20 or 1:40

Saurosuchus
Charonosaurus
Microraptor
Centrosaurus
Shonisaurus Deluxe 1:40
Ichthyosaurus
Pentaceratops
Centrosaurus
Protoceratops Deluxe size 1:15 or 1:20 as very small.
Gallimimus Deluxe
Gorgosaurus Deluxe: 1:40
Albertosaurus

Before the dinosaurs

Deluxe size Moschops 1:20
Edaphosaurus
Casea
Mastodonsaurus
Meganeura of the same size as the insects of the same company
Deluxe size Arthoropleura
Diplocaulus
Orthocono Deluxe size

After the dinosaurs (in this case all Deluxe or scale 1:20)

Megaloceros
Titanoboa
Megalania
Procoptodon

Before the dinosaurs

Deluxe size Moschops 1:20
Casea
Diplocaulus
Orthocono Deluxe size

I'm sure they're going to keep releasing mostly Jurassic and Cretaceous dinosaurs, and that's fine, I'll buy a lot of them. But mostly I want them to keep making Paleozoic and Triassic creatures. I'd like them to do some creatures that haven't been seriously attempted since the mid-20th century like:

Cynognathus
Moschops
Seymouria
Sphenacodon

And some lesser-known weirdos like:

Atopodentatus
Cartorhynchus
Dipnorhynchus
Elginia
Erythrosuchus
Prestosuchus
Prionosuchus
Rhizodus
Scleromochlus
Shringasaurus
Styracocephalus

And more tubes.

Finally, it bears repeating: Cotylorhynchus

Well I would love a Deluxe scale cotylorhynchus or at least XL. It is a very rare figure of the period. It is one of the three prehistoric animals of the Permian that fascinate me most along with the moschops and fortunately the great estemmenosuchus and I hope that other toy companies follow the example of Collecta and massively produce more figures of this great therapsid reptile whose protuberances remind me of how I already commented on another forum post to a samurai or even add a gladiator.

Ultimately I would like very much that Collecta made the cotylorhynchus and the moschops in Deluxe size are the Permian animals that I like the most and for me they are the equivalent of my three prehistoric pre-historic mammals of the Cenozoic that are the paraceratherium, uintatherium and elasmotherium although I also have other preferences at that time such as teleoceras, arsinoitherium and megacerops. Those last two fortunately made by the same company.

That would indeed be awesome. Anurognathus isn't just a unique-looking pterosaur; it's also downright cute!

Also nice to see how many other people want a Cotylorhynchus!

CollectA's is one of the most unpredictable companies we've got, so I'm very curious how many of our guesses will be even remotely close!  :))

My predictions:

Pelicanimimus: a well known European dino that they've yet to create
Rhabdodon: obligatory European dino #2
Plateosaurus: obligatory European dino #3, and when was the last time we had a prosauropod?!
Allosaurus (deluxe): redo
Chasmosaurus: redo
Yi qi (deluxe): hard to believe they'd pass this one up, deluxe because it's large, not because it's 1:40
Tuojiangosaurus: one of the few stegosaurs they haven't done
Postosuchus: surprised they don't have one yet
Moschops: now that they've expanded into the Paleozoic anything's possible!  ;D
Lycaenops: can we get a whopping 3 gorgonopsian taxa as toys?!
Tanystropheus: maybe filling in for an absent sauropod

As regards the company Collecta all the desires are speculative, they always surprise us with unthinkable figures but as it is logical due to the high demand that we demand in relation to new figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, because together year they make a maximum of thirteen figures, (the most plethoric year was 2012, especially with its megacerops that was awarded as the best figure by the prestigious magazine Prehistoric Times), I am afraid that many of our wishes will not be fulfilled, I at least I am satisfied that some figure from the extensive list of prehistoric animals that I have asked in this "Letter to the Magi" metaphorically speaking, materialized in a dream come true in 2019, and if it were not so I have the firm conviction that Collecta will make figures that prehistoric animals in the next year 2019 that I will like and will impress me favorably as it happens with Collecta every year you.

That figure still needs a remake though, and I'm not even talking about the fact that it was released in 2011.

My hopes and dreams (even though I think it is a bit early):

Remade Megalosaurus (the obligatory British dinosaur)
Zuniceratops (please don't put butt fuzz on this one, CollectA)
Deluxe Shonisaurus (I don't mind this one not being exactly 1:40 scale, but at least make it reasonably close)
Standard Anomalocaris
For the supreme pterosaur I second the suggestions of Anurognathus, especially in the style of those restorations suspsy posted
Borealopelta
For the obligatory mammal I think they should do Megatherium
Dinornis (Giant Moa)
A properly feathered maniraptoran
Remade Shunosaurus
Deluxe Livyatan
For the tube, they should make a Feathered Dinosaur tube, where they include various smaller dinosaurs with evidence of feathers.

I think this is almost guaranteed in either 2019 or 2020.

I think this is almost guaranteed in either 2019 or 2020.

I hope so! That dinosaur I like a lot is a little-known nodosaurio in the toy market.
