Honestly, I'm not expecting much in terms of "story" from this.  What will disappoint me, and I say "will" because I'm 99% sure it'll happen, is that the Pyroraptor will only appear in the one sequence on the frozen lake and then be killed off in some disappointing manner because the franchise hates feathers.

What an idiotic and unimaginative excuse for a climax. Trevorrow seriously thought it would be a good idea to just combine tag teaming from the first film and impalement from the second one? Once again he shows how shallow his creative well really is. And once again Rexy is made to look weak. Can't win a single battle on her own.

But it's not like I'm the least bit surprised. I concluded a long time ago that Dominion was going to be dreck and this only confirms it even more.

Overall, the ending scene is really the only thing worth seeing, in my opinion. Like similar movies, the ending scene(s) are the important, or shall I say the moment everyone is waiting for, to see what happens to beloved character(s) or creature(s). I feel like the rest of the movie is going to be filler, up until the build up for the ending. Just my prediction after watching the ending scene.

T.Rex, the franchise marquee dino no less. The writer gave absolutely no respect for Rexy by making her so weak, always needing another dino's help to win a fight of her own weight class, while superficially buffing up the villain theropod to ridiculous size and strength. We all know in real life T.Rex is much heavier, bulkier with a far more powerful bite than Giga and in no way the Rex would be dominated this badly by a giga. Therizinosaurus can't remotely impale an animal that big with it claws without fracturing all of its fingers, much less teaming up with a predator lol. Like would it kill them just give the W to a T.Rex for once as it rightfully deserved?

I had already heard about the Dominion ending before the leak, so I wasn't too surprised. Even the positive remarks shared in that article aren't much more than "some characters are good together, and the dinosaurs are kind of cool". I'm not surprised, but it's still a bit disappointing.
Granted, these are just a few initial reactions; we'll see how more folks respond in the coming month(s).

No, they can't leave it alone, nostalgia sells. I documented the many JP references and nods for the last two JW films to show how pervasive they were, but I don't think I'll bother doing that with this film. Especially now that the original JP cast is back to (place your bets) repeat the same lines again, wear the same clothes again, do the same things again. At first they were just over-egging the pudding but now it has become obnoxious to me.
