After Jurassic "Park" and Jurassic "World", what's next? Jurassic "Universe" and Jurassic "Multiverse"?  :P
But today, I'm just being father

Technically it's already it's own "universe" .  I think there is ample room to tell stories within the established universe. Prequels, tv series, lot's of places to go in it and plenty of dino species to highlight still.

As a long standing fan of the franchise, I would also like to see it put to rest. It is losing its magic (though who knows maybe Dominion can rekindle some of that with at least some of the original cast back, and maybe some of the new species like the Lystrosaurus, etc), but I suppose that's from this trilogy being Marvel-fied (forced humor, the implausible action scenarios, etc) from the start. I'm also just not sure what else they could do at this point, unless they focus on prequel territory. CC also can't go on forever either.

But other then F&F, this is their big cash cow, so one can expect it to stay. And while I'm happy to see dinosaurs in the spotlight again, with a major media presence, I only hope this isn't all that we are stuck with either. The last one I can think of was the Pixar The Good Dinosaur. I had so much more as a kid in comparison, all within the span of a few years time. Never mind the drought in documentaries, which had there been any lately to properly educate the public on these animal's appearances, perhaps folks (including myself) wouldn't need to be so up in arm's on what this franchise does with its inaccurate designs. No instead this is literally all we are getting, and have been for years.

Dominion will definitely be tonally different than all the others while steaming ahead in the direction of Battle at Big Rock. We'll be seeing dinosaurs of all kind co existing with extant creatures which including us human for sharing, competing, killing and getting enslaved etc in this brave in new world. This new era of dinosaur interaction would be nothing but pure magic, like Alan Grant once said, "how can we possibly have the slightest idea of what to expect?" You drive into the wildness, the African Savannah, Snowy tundra of Siberia, the Amazon jungles, the great plains and see herds of dinos roaming around, hunting, migrating and breeding like how they once did in the prehistoric times, isn't that exciting and thrilling? We've never seen these kind of scenarios in all the JP/World films and you can bet your a** it's gonna be the second coming:).

More like The Terrible Dinosaur, am I right? Should have made Devil Dinosaur instead.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

avatar_CityRaptor @CityRaptor I know many people did not enjoy it, but I'm probably one of the few who did. I suppose part of that is owed to the beautiful environments and score. Ah thanks for the reminder of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. Possible it could head in that direction...

B @bone crusher Now that you mention that, yeah that could be exciting to see, and would be very interesting. I enjoyed Battle at Big Rock, and it will be interesting to see how they convey that in the film, etc. Would be nice to see the Allosaurus make a return too.

The Good Dinosaur doesn't feel like Pixar to me. They put so much research into their films like Coco or Luca, so I don't see why they couldnt have had made the movie about Hell Creek animals

JURASSIC WORLD---Colin Trevorrow posted a tweet from director Phil Lord, who has been lobbying for another hybrid dinosaur, Brontosaurus Rex, be added to the franchise.

let's hope colin doesn't linger too long or his tiny anti accuracy brain might consider it.

This is incredibly rude, especially since the tweet was obviously a joke.

Wow this totally wasn't an obvious joke or anything  ::)

Some actual news here (gonna spoiler tag this):
Spoiler

New Parasaurolophus? design, and another look at that previously leaked Deinonychus/Atrociraptor, whatever it is.

Could be a Biosyn's take on it? Really beautiful coloration, almost similar to PNSO's model. Curious to see how Mattel will carry that over to a figure. Just a shame about the posture, maybe the hands as well.

Allosaurus and the Kenner "Demon"-like Carnotaurus (from the end of FK, as with the hadrosaurid, I also am curious to see how Mattel handles the coloration on this one):

The Deinonychus/Atrociraptor design is so incredibly redundant. They had a chance to give us something completely new and different, maybe even feathered, and it looks like another different color Velociraptor. I was hoping they were just a rumor but that doesn't seem to be the case. For me this is more disappointing that the flashback scene. Hopefully they don't take up too much screen time.

ITdactyl

The soft confirmation for the new "raptor" is a slight downer - not because I was hoping for an accurate dromie but because it seems to also indicate that the spoilers on Reddit have a hint of truth. Even if they were only half true, I'm not excited for that kind of story.

eh... who am I kidding? I'll probably still watch this film... twice...

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi I agree about them feeling redundant right now as well, especially when Blue is still around, a mostly classic raptor design, and...

Spoiler

if the leaked Micro Collection toy is anything to go by, then possibly a feathered Pyroraptor will show up in the film as well (which also seems similar to the approach they took with the Oviraptor in the past sequence short that had no wings, and pronated wrists, despite the figure's stylization).

Edit: I shared this a while back, but either I didn't dig far back enough or the original source was removed, but there was this image that was leaked a while ago as well, the original source claiming it was for a puzzle or something. Posting it here again because it is relevant:

Yes avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, I do recall that leaked poster. I kind of just brushed it under the rug because of how disappointed I am in it, now it's back.

Also...

Spoiler
I can't say I'm fond of that Pyroraptor design either, but those toys shouldn't be taken too seriously I guess. I figured Pyroraptor would be in the movie, filling that feather niche. But are we going to have Pyroraptor, Blue, and Deinonychus? How many dromies do we need? I'll give the movie the benefit of the doubt because I actually enjoyed the last two. With this being the last one my expectations are a bit higher.
