Great dioramas! You really do a lovely Pick & Mix from the various more detailed companies, those figures go really well together. :)

While it might not be as accurate as the Safari Ltd one, that Rebor Ankylosaurus looks like it turned out really nice (as well as how the articulation was implemented). Nice pictures (and thanks for comparing it with the Safari Ltd one).

It certainly is an impressive-looking piece. It's definitely superior to the Papo version. But as shown in that comparison shot with the Safari version, its proportions are woefully out of whack.
I agree. A smaller head, shorter tail, and wider hips would've made this good model a great model.

Just got 3 new additions. New Papo Acrocanthosaurus. CollectA Ceratosaurus and Iguanadon. The Papo acro is just amazing. Much better paint scheme than last years (but I still like that one). The Ceratosaurus has a great sculpt. Not too crazy about the head paint. Wish the mouth would close flush. But still one of the best sculpts of this dinosaur so far. I like the base. It's not as generic as some of their others. They iguanadon is probably one of CollectAs best. The delails are great and one of their best paint applications. Now I'm just waiting on my Vitae order. Earliest it'll be in is end of this week.

Thanks for the comparison shots! Reinforces some of my recent decisions about which models to buy :)

Thank you very much for your photos apatosaurus3232 the acrocanthosaurus of Papo of 2018 I bought it at urzeitshop.de and leaves small to its previous version of 2017.

As for Papo's iguanodon, it is much larger than I thought because of what I see in the photos it is almost half a span less than Collecta's immense iguanodon and it is a very well-made figure.

As far as ceratosaurus is concerned, it is for me a work of art of paleo-sculpture and what favors it a lot is the reddish color of the body and it is certainly of an acceptable size. It makes a good pair with the iguanodon of Collecta and also with the acrocanthosaurus of Papo 2018.

So I've been posting mostly new stuff. Let's take a little walk down memory lane. I've taken a few boxes of stuff from my parents lately. Everything is mixed up. So here are a few things I came across. First up is the Resaurus Carnage collection that came out in 97. I heard about this through a toy magazine and my parents ordered me the whole set. The protoceratops and deinonychus I picked when I was working at a dinomation exhibit at my local zoo. I have the velociraptor somewhere. Found the base but no figure lol.

A few assorted Carnegie collection, bullyland, and toyway WWD. I have a complete Carnegie set somewhere and a few more wwd kicking around in my fossil replica boxes. I have a lot of stuff buried lol.

Bravo!  For their time the Resaurus Dinosaur Action Figures were second-to-none.   ;D

Congrats on the WWD Lio. That's a really hard to find figure!

Thanks. I know it's one of the rare ones. Also have the Rex, utahraptor, and polacanthus. I found all of them years ago at a store called natural wonders. They were going out of business and had a basket full of them. Think they were discounted to $3 each.

PhilSauria

Talk about right place right time! When I began seriously collecting a few years back it did not take me long to learn that these ones don't come cheap and can be hard to find. Needless to say I still haven't found 'em and probably couldn't afford 'em if I did!

Shonisaurus

I congratulate D @apatosaurus3232  for acquiring those figures of Reasaurus (fabulous ceraptosides), the theropods, the stegosaurus of Safari, the maiasaura of Carnegie (now a little difficult to obtain) and especially the stegosaurus and the liopleurodon of WWD, the latter is a very rare for any collector and certainly very expensive.

The lyopleurodon of WWD three years ago cost me 120 euros and was second hand, although in perfect condition. I'm glad you found a cheap one and in perfect condition.

Just got 3 of the new Vitae in. The paint isn't on par with their giganotosaurus. But is a larger model so I'll give these a pass. They are very similar in quality to safari except the paint feels more durable on Vitae's. I'll try get a review going for at least one of these this week.

I have been sitting on the fence as to whether to order any of the new Vitae. Thanks for posting good photos. That helps!

Thanks for the photos Apatosaurus. The figures of Vitae in general terms do not have such garish colors which is a point in their favor. They are realistic dinosaur colors. The size is bigger than I thought.

The sinraptor is my favorite figure, it is true that this figure is the largest in the group.

I appreciate that the chilantaisaurus does not have an articulated jaw, a point in favor of Vitae on my part.

I am happy to know that they are even more resistant than Safari figures to abrasions (tougher paint) and I am also glad that these figures do not suffer sustainability problems.

Absolutely. Would love to do a old school review. Plus I have some beast of the Mesozoic to compare with.

Thanks for those pics.
I like it that Finaly I get 'natural' pics with no editting and computeraized background -
It better tells me about the figure and what to expect when I order it.
